📅 - Managed Web and application hosting service provider Digex, Incorporated (digex.com) announced on Monday, February 10 that major voluntary health organization the National kidney Foundation has chosen Digex to manage its Internet infrastructure.
The NKF's online initiatives, says Digex, are fundamental to the organization's mission of informing the public about kidney disease and the need for organ donors. Digex says it hosts the orgnanization's primary site (kidney.org), which provides general information on patient and family education, health care professionals, clinical practice guidelines, organ and tissue donor recipients, government relations and NKF news. The site also provides a secure means of making donations to the NKF or one of its affiliates.
Digex says that, through its e-Enablement solution, it provides a cost-effective and flexible solution for supporting a vital Internet presence. NKF's online infrastructure is built on a multi-server Windows 2000 environment with a SQL Server database.
