Feb 11, 2003 : Peak 10 IDC Reaches Profitability

📅 February 11, 2003 - Data center services provider Peak 10 Inc. (Peak10.com -> flexential.com) announced on Tuesday that its Jacksonville data center has become EBITDA positive, shortly after the company made a similar announcement regarding its Charlotte data center in early December.

Peak10 says it operates four enterprise class data centers in Charlotte, Jacksonville, Tampa and Raleigh, and is currently exploring sites for another data center to be opened in 2003. The company says it has differentiated itself in each of these markets, first by offering redundant, fault tolerant local data centers with on-site engineers and non-stop monitoring.
"We are now positive EBITDA in two of our four data centers with plans to reach EBITDA on a consolidated basis by year end," said Brian Noonan, Chief Financial Officer of Peak 10. "There are very few companies in our industry that have sustained this operating momentum."

The announcement comes off the heels of last week's opening of Peak 10's second data center in Tampa.

The 15,400 square foot data center brings the company's total Tampa data center space to more than 30,000 square feet.

The completion of the 15,400 square-foot facility will bring Tampa's total data center footprint to more than 30,000 square feet.
