📅 - Communications service provider AT&T (att.com) announced on Monday that it will be providing Internet data center and hosting services in support of financial resource management (FRM) solution provider Bottomline Technologies' Web-based legal e-billing services.
AT&T says Bottomline chose the company to provide it with secure and reliable Web hosting services as a result of growth in e-billing related transactions among the more than 1,800 law firms using its Legal e-Billing Services. "Companies large and small are addressing the critical need to have a seamless integration of their back office operations and public Web sites," said Pat Traynor, vice president of hosting and managed services at AT&T. "We are in the midst of a major trend towards companies tapping the expertise of the Internet Data Centers and networking to support their critical business applications environments while helping to improve profitability."

(cisco.com) announced on Monday that Austrialian telecommunications company Telestra has expanded its Internet backbone capacity, upgrading to 10 Gigabits per second using the Cisco 12000 Series Internet Routers. According to Cisco, Telestra has activated the first 10 Gigabit Ethernet link on its Telestra Internet Direct (TID) backbone, which delivers broadband Internet services for business and home users across Australia.
