Feb, 2003 : Redundant Networks Obtains SAS70 Compliance


📅 - Redundant Networks (redundant.com) announced it has successfully completed the SAS70 Type One report of its data center facilities in Reno, NV.

"SAS70 is imperative for banks, brokerages, trading exchanges, financial service company and other organizations that must maintain secure data services in a locations that must comply with numerous industry standards, security and regulatory requirements," stated Janice Fetzer, chief operating officer of Redundant Networks. "Customers cannot find a more robust network architecture or a more secure facility that also offers SAS70 compliance than is offered by Redundant Networks' bi-coastal data centers. The SAS70 review covered many areas of the company's financial, transactional, administrative, and systems processes through auditing the control objectives. These objectives included risk assessment, data administration and physical security and logical access.
SAS70 was established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) [aicpa.org] to provide a basis for examinations of the internal controls of service organizations.
