📅 - Integrated outsourced technology solutions provider Intrieve Inc. (intrieve.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched its new DataScape division to provide colocation, hosting and managed data services.
Located in Intrieve's Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters, DataScape currently provides data services for 560 growing businesses, according to Intrieve. When the company entered the colocation and managed data services industry in 2000, it found considerable interest. "Reorganization for this business unit is the next step," says Jeff Jacques, Intrieve's chief information officer. "DataScape is an important link in Intrieve's overall strategic plan that has developed and is successful. This move puts us in a better position for continued growth." According to Intrieve, DataScape's facilities include 10,000 square feet of raised floor in an environmentally controlled site. DataScape has redundant bandwidth connections and multi-level power backups, and provides customers with unlimited access to their servers at any time.

📅 - WebCentral Revenues Up 22 Percent - Australian Web hosting organization WebCentral (webcentral.com.au) announced on Friday that it had reported a net profit of $609,000 on revenues of $12.8 million for the first half of its 2002-2003 financial year, a 22 percent increase in revenue over the previous half-year. Revenues increased from $10.5 million at December 31, 2001 to $12.8 million for the same period in the current financial year.
