Mar, 2003 : Mirror Image Accelerates Fastclick AdServer

📅 March 7, 2003 - Managed content delivery, e-commerce and Web services provider Mirror Image Internet (mirror-image.com) announced this week that it had been chosen by Internet advertising network Fastclick to increase the speed and enhance the management of online campaigns for its AdServer application.

According to Mirror Image, Fastclick's AdServer is a Web-based application that enables advertisers and publishers to serve, manage and optimize their online ad campaigns. Serving more than 55 million unique users a month, Fastclick implemented MirrorImage's instaContent service to cost effectively deliver rich site content as fast as possible. By offloading origin servers and scaling infrastructure capacity, says Mirror Image, the solution allows AdServer customers to bypass Internet congestion and track ad campaign content in real time.
"In order for online service providers to be successful, they must have a flexible, scalable architecture in place to seamlessly handle rich content," said Bob Hammond, Chief Technology Officer for Mirror Image Internet. "Mirror Image is pleased to offer an industry leader like Fastclick a solution that provides unrivaled content delivery speed and reliability for its global customer base."

(dataweb.com), a provider of online software services, said today it had purchased the Web based rapid application development business from application infrastructure firm BEA Systems. The stock and cash deal is valued at over $7 million. It includes the purchase of software used for developing dynamic web applications and a full-service hosting center accompanied by 3,000 customers co-located with AT&T.
