📅 April 25, 2003 - Linux provider Red Hat Inc. (redhat.com) yesterday announced the appointment of Alex Pinchev to their executive team as president, international operations.

Pinchev will be responsible for the sales and service delivery of all Red Hat offerings outside of North America and will work to strengthen global reach into the enterprise marketplace, the company reports.
"International expansion is a key corporate objective. Enterprise companies and governments in Europe, Asia and Latin America are realizing the high value, low cost benefits of Red Hat's solutions," said Matthew Szulik, CEO of Red Hat. "Alex brings a great deal of international experience leading and building global organizations."
"The global opportunities for Red Hat are tremendous as major organizations and governments become acquainted with the value of Red Hat's Open Source solutions," said Pinchev. "I'm looking forward to maximizing the company's international growth potential."
Pinchev previously served for seven years as chairman, president, CEO and founder of MainControl Inc.
Red Hat is an open source and Linux provider headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.
