📅 June 5, 2003 - UK companies that choose to maintain their Web hosting operations in-house are missing out on the huge savings and technical benefits that can be gained through an outsourced solution, according to research conducted by estructure.net (estructure.net).

estructure.net found that the cost savings accrued from an outsourced solution were substantial. "Companies that outsource their Web hosting services to a dedicated supplier typically save between 40-70 percent of the associated cost,? said Claus Kristensen, estructure.net's UK general manager.
The technical benefits derived from outsourcing are equally critical. Research conducted by the company suggested that companies who do not outsrouce their Web hosting run the risk of less than optimal performance. ?Web sites are increasingly becoming the first point of contact between a customer and a business so it is vital that this interface is available 24/7 with no downtime or security breaches,? said Kristensen.
