Jul, 2003 : Q9 Networks Wins Ontario Government Contract

📅 July 22, 2003 - Q9 Networks, Inc. (q9.com -> equinix.com) announced today it has won a contract from the Ontario Racing Commission (ORC) to host a new Web-based information system. The ORC oversees all aspects of the horse racing industry in Ontario.


Under the terms, Q9 will host the ORC's Web-based information system being developed by Toronto-based Envision IT.
"We selected Q9 through a tendering process that included an extensive evaluation of a number of providers," said Wendy Hoogeveen, manager of information services at the Ontario Racing Commission. "Q9 stood out because of its willingness to provide a high level of service above and beyond the contracted items. The professionalism and expertise demonstrated by Q9 staff provided the Commission with the confidence that our infrastructure would receive the support it requires."
In addition to hosting, Q9 will also provide a full suite of managed services, including physical space, Internet bandwidth, data back-up, monitoring and 7x24 support.
