SERVERPOINT.COM - IRRESPONSIBLE AND FRAUDULENT HOSTING
I registered a new account for my customer on December 22 2023 (my country time). And on December 25 2023, I plan to order a Windows VPS at serverpoint.com, so I ask my customers to make a deposit payment to serverpoint via PayPal of 35$, and I have ensured the balance has been entered that evening. Then tomorrow, December 26 2023, I will order the VPS but I can't log in to the account, and I'm sure the email and password I entered are correct, until they were wrong 4 times.
I asked my customer to make sure that there was no change to the password. And then my customer also tried to log in but was unsuccessful and a notification appeared that my account had been suspended due to entering the password incorrectly more than 5 times.
I contacted Customer Support and told them what I experienced. But their response was only simple and unclear,

😞 I recently took over the management of our US server group. Discovered issues with all ten (10) of our dedicated servers. Zero monitoring had been configured.
Serverpoint's idea of server monitoring is wandering the aisles listening for the 'beep' of systems in trouble. I'm not making that up, they even wrote it down in a support ticket. Once I stopped laughing, the seriousness of that dropped on me like a brick.
This weekend (last 48 hrs) we discovered five (5) of the ten (10) servers had either;
a) an existing critical issue
b) suffered a critical event in that time window.
I agree with previous reviewers; Peter will respond to you with stereotypical American arrogance. You are the customer, stick to the facts and stand your ground.

😠 They lack of transparency, professionalism and respect. Peter from technical support will talk to you like you are the problem. They will never assume their fault when a problem occurs. They will not give any explanation on what happened if something goes wrong with their network. Since I am their customer I've noticed random restarts on my service. Better stay away!

😠 Stay away from VPS !
If you're ok with random restarts and unreachable VPS, then good, go for it, but I believe there are better services out there. Been with them for over 8 months and it's been nothing but trouble. Slowdowns to the point where you cannot work and random restarts, forget about running anything or working on it. Stay away ! Non educated support stuff. Was on Windows 7, with minimum resource usage. It's been 7th time i've ben reaching support, nothing has been fixed or changed. Very disappointed !!!!!!!!

My credit card was charged by this company and I've never heard of them. I contacted them to find out why they were charging me. After 30 minutes of "chat" and being put on "hold" repeatedly the customer service person DISCONNECTED THE CHAT. They refused to answer any of my questions.

I have used ServerPoint for well over a decade, many of the staff from back then are still there now, that says something about a company, I have always found them very helpful with free tech support for any problems that may arise, they have an extremely high up time and all the apps you could need, blogs, forums, e-commerce, CMS and much more, I would highly recommend that you use them as your server, head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion.

They have been in business since 1998 AND I have been a customer since 1998.
I've used shared accounts, dedicated server accounts, and virtual cloud based accounts. Nearly every thing they have to offer at some point.
During this time I have on multiple occasion tried other hosting companies and have NEVER stayed with any of them. Some of them were eh, about as good as ServerPoint, but NONE of them so much better that I moved all of my many domains to them. The WORST you could say about them is they are as good as any body else. But I belive them to be considerably better then MOST.

I've hosting there for 4 years, every time something happened is not their fault, they will put on bad altitude/arguments to block you out, anything that's not clear cut, they will leave you in the dark. They did not notify domain renew properly, my site was down for a month last year(i paid them hosting fee), 2 weeks this year. I asked money back from BBB, never hear back.
When I decided to cancel, they already charged me for another month, saying no refund, they're very good at this until you realize how they lock your money.
Their billing/customer service/tech support are same guys, only one or two really understand technical problems.

😠 Serverpoint does NOT stand by their ADVERTISED pricing. I went to their price and went to Dedicated Servers under $100. Found one for $47.99 and went to checkout and charges me $59.99. I live chat and said sorry, you have to pay $59.99. I called and James (their webmaster) told me that that price shouldn't be there and still would not do anything. A 2nd live chat he told me this price expired 12/31 (25 days ago) and yet is STILL advertised on their web site, again not offering me ANYTHING.
This is TERRIBLE customer service, when you call their phone number (888-605-6775 - You got to listen) it says " Where we deliver what we promise" LOL, How ironic!

😠 Well, if you have nothing on your web site, these guys, are for you! If you want forms, wordpress applications, etc. to work right, well go somewhere else. We had them for 6 years, the site was down here and there, we just tried to upload a totally different site with blogs, forms, applications, and you couldn't upload mp3s bigger than 12M. You weren't allowed to change the php.ini file. They talked to you like you were the problem. AND HEAVEN forbid if you want to transfer your domain name! Our email address was old, and it takes an act of congress to get that changed! By the way, one company owns the domain names, one company owns the servers, and another the control panel. 😠 I switched to these guys becuase they had a cheaper price than others, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Their servers go offline 3-5 time per month are are offline for hours at a time. They say that it must be something I did to the server. Yet the event viewer shows the power was lost. They cant seem to realize that it's their system that sucks. Stay away from them. Spend a few bucks more per month and get a stable server.

😁 I'd like to thank serverpoint for providing me with excellent and uninterrupted hosting services. I contacted sales representative and he was really helpful and explained me everything what I needed. I bought basic shared hosting plan more than a year ago and I paid with the help of paypal method of payment and everything was fine. I like the option โspeed testโ with the help of which I am able to check speed connection and I wanna say that it is fast and I don't have to wait much time to upload the page. During the time I have been dealing with them, network uptime is perfect and when I had some technical questions, their support was always ready to assist. I am thankful this secure company again for good services.
