Founded in 2010 in Sydney, NSW, VPN Secure offers robust security features and claims to have a strict no-log policy. However, being under the jurisdiction of Australia, a member of the 5 Eyes Alliance, raises doubts about the effectiveness of its "No Logging, ever!" slogan.While VPN Secure has servers in over 40 countries, accessing most streaming sites proved challenging during my tests. Nevertheless, their customer support confirmed that streaming is not their primary focus.
The VPN accepts various payment options and platforms, but it surprised me that there is no free trial available. Instead, they offer a 7-day trial for which a payment of $1 is required.
Unlike larger VPN providers that rent server space from other organizations, VPN Secure has chosen to build its own private network with privately-managed servers. They currently have around 100 servers in 48 countries, including major locations such as the U.S., Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Germany, and the U.K. Although some servers may be slower than others, the smaller number of servers did not pose a significant issue. If you prefer a VPN with a wider range of server options, you may consider checking out our ExpressVPN review, which boasts 2000 servers in 148 locations.
It's important to note that VPNSecure is based in Queensland, Australia, and is therefore subject to Australia's membership in the Five Eyes alliance. This means that if requested, VPNSecure is obliged to disclose information about their clients to the governments of the U.S, U.K, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
