MIRhosting is a Dutch infrastructure provider founded in 2004 by Andrey Nesterenko. Headquartered in Almere, the company specializes in colocation, cloud platforms, bare-metal servers, storage, network connectivity, and managed infrastructure. Its legal entity is MIRhosting B.V., registered in the Netherlands under KVK number 63945630 and VAT number NL855463600B01.

The company developed from a traditional hosting operation into an infrastructure specialist with more than 10 data center locations and a technical team of over 30 engineers and architects. LinkedIn places the company within the 11–50 employee range. An unusual part of its history is the founder’s background as a concert pianist. MIRhosting has also handled technical production and livestreaming for the International Piano Competition for Young Musicians in Enschede since 2006.

The strongest part of its portfolio is colocation. Customers can install a single server, quarter rack, half rack, or complete private rack in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, New York, and Mumbai. Individual-server packages combine power, IP transit, redundant network ports, A+B power feeds, installation, basic management, BMC access through VPN, and IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity. Customers with their own IP address space can also integrate it into the service.

Private Colocation is available through Unmanaged, Managed, and Premium service levels. The more complete packages cover equipment logistics, inventory storage, hardware installation, cabling, account management, direct communication with remote-hands engineers, platform recovery, equipment upgrades, migrations, and deinstallation. Rack power is calculated per kW, making the service particularly relevant to hosting providers, SaaS businesses, network operators, and organizations replacing public cloud infrastructure with owned hardware.

Managed Colocation covers the full equipment lifecycle. MIRhosting can assist with architecture, procurement or leasing, insured transportation, warehouse storage, installation, network integration, 24/7 monitoring, component replacement, and later expansion. Hardware can be leased for periods of up to five years, while replacement components and spare equipment can be stored close to the active servers.

The Cloud Platform is a PaaS environment suitable for Java, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, Python, and Go applications. It supports Apache and Nginx load balancing, together with MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases. Vertical and horizontal scaling can be controlled through a graphical interface or API, while billing follows actual resource consumption rather than a permanently reserved server configuration. Incoming and outgoing traffic is unlimited, with automatic backups and DDoS filtering included.

Bare Metal servers are assembled according to individual technical requirements instead of being restricted to a small range of standard configurations. MIRhosting can select, purchase, lease, install, and operate hardware according to the required processor, memory, storage, network, and budget. Deployments are available around Amsterdam, Frankfurt, New York, and New Jersey, with final pricing calculated individually.

The storage portfolio covers S3-compatible object storage, managed backups, and dedicated storage infrastructure. Object Storage supports versioning, WORM object locking, and replication between the Netherlands and the United States. Managed Backup uses R1Soft block-level incremental technology for Windows and Linux servers, including MSSQL and MySQL consistency, virtual and physical systems, and bare-metal recovery. Dedicated Storage can be supplied through exclusive HDD or SSD hardware or as a customized virtual storage environment.

Connectivity is another important part of the business. Available network services include IP Transit, DDoS Protection, Carrier Transport, private VLAN transport, protected wavelengths, dark fiber, and custom DWDM networks. Organizations requiring substantial transfer capacity can obtain individual connections of up to 400 Gbps, while the complete network exceeds 1 Tbps of available external capacity.

The Speed-IX Frankfurt service is useful for networks seeking cost-effective peering outside the Netherlands. The first 10 Gbps port for each ASN is free on an ongoing basis, with transport between Frankfurt and the Netherlands included. Additional 10G, burstable 100G, flat-rate 100G, and 400G connections are available.

Additional infrastructure services include Managed DNS with GeoDNS, regional routing, failover, and load distribution. MIRhosting also handles Kubernetes environments, DevOps consulting and automation, database and Big Data architecture, domain registration, IP address leasing or purchase, ASN services, sponsoring-LIR services, and commercial software licenses such as CloudLinux, cPanel, Plesk, and Microsoft products.

The website is modern, responsive, and available in English and German. Several contact and support options also accommodate Russian-speaking customers, while Amsterdam services explicitly cover English, Dutch, and Russian. European and Indian infrastructure is primarily priced in EUR, while United States services are quoted in USD. The Mumbai single-server offer is also priced in USD.

The legal framework covers GDPR compliance, privacy, cookies, acceptable use, and network security. Personal information can be processed for billing and account management or on behalf of customers whose services contain personal data. International processing is handled through contractual safeguards where required. Customer onboarding also includes identity, ownership, sanctions, and politically exposed person screening.

💰 Price & Cost

Single-server colocation starts at €160 per month in Amsterdam, €200 per month in Frankfurt, $150 per month in New York, and $190 per month in Mumbai. These configurations include up to 300 watts of power, redundant power feeds, installation, remote management access, and IP transit. Amsterdam, Frankfurt, and New York include 1 Gbps transit calculated at the 95th percentile, while Mumbai includes 100 Mbps.

Rack-oriented colocation in Amsterdam starts at €360 per kW for Unmanaged service, €410 for Managed service, and €440 for Premium service. Frankfurt starts at €380, €430, and €460 per kW respectively. New York starts at $360, $410, and $440, while Mumbai starts at €290 for Managed service and €320 for Premium service.

Remote-hands work generally costs between approximately €90 and €150 per hour, or the corresponding amount in US dollars, depending on the location and service package. Managed and Premium plans include a next-business-day completion commitment for applicable routine remote-hands work. Additional 40G or 100G ports normally carry a €50 or $50 monthly charge, together with a €100 or $100 one-time setup fee.

Object Storage includes a trial allowance of up to 1 TB. A fixed 10 TB package costs €150, while flexible storage costs €0.015 per TB per hour. Incoming traffic is free, and outgoing traffic costs €0.01 per GB. Bare-metal servers, Kubernetes environments, DevOps services, dedicated storage, database engineering, advanced DDoS protection, and custom network transport are priced individually.

Speed-IX membership is free. The first 10G port per ASN is free, while an additional 10G port costs €190 per month with a €200 setup charge. A flat-rate 100G port costs €1,900 per month with a €2,000 setup charge.

The billing system supports automated credit-card payments and customer account-balance top-ups. An email notification is sent at least five calendar days before an automated charge.

A 30-day money-back guarantee applies to new web hosting plans. Setup charges and domain registrations are excluded, and domain purchases are nonrefundable. This guarantee originates from the older web-hosting terms and does not automatically apply to colocation, cloud infrastructure, power reservations, leased hardware, transport services, or custom engineering work. Refunds, cancellation periods, equipment-removal conditions, and early termination charges for these services depend on the individual order and service agreement.

MIRhosting operates from Tier III+ and Tier IV facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, and India. Its location portfolio includes Dronten, Amsterdam, Schiphol-Rijk, Nieuwegein near Utrecht, Frankfurt, Eschborn, Secaucus, New York City, and Navi Mumbai.

Dutch infrastructure includes Serverius/ KkoloDC in Dronten, Equinix AM5 in Amsterdam, Nikhef at Amsterdam Science Park, and NorthC Utrecht in Nieuwegein. German infrastructure includes Frankfurt and Eschborn locations, with Equinix FR facilities connected to the transport network. United States infrastructure includes CenterSquare and Equinix NY4 in Secaucus, together with Digital Realty at 60 Hudson Street in New York. Indian services operate from a Tier IV facility in Navi Mumbai.

The facilities include redundant utility power, UPS systems, backup generators, redundant cooling, controlled physical access, CCTV monitoring, and A+B power delivery. Depending on the individual location, compliance and facility certifications include combinations of ISO 27001, ISO 9001, PCI DSS, GDPR-related controls, and LEED certification in Mumbai.

MIRhosting operates AS52000 and a redundant DWDM transport network across the Netherlands, Germany, and the eastern United States. Individual backbone links support capacities of up to 400 Gbps, while total network capacity exceeds 1 Tbps. Available services include protected optical wavelengths, VLAN transport, IP transit, dark fiber, DDoS filtering, and direct interconnection between data centers.

Direct exchange connectivity includes AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX, and Speed-IX (speed-ix.net). Private and direct cloud connectivity is available toward AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Automated network-level DDoS filtering is included, with more advanced mitigation available separately.

The principal availability commitment reaches an SLA-backed uptime of up to 99.99%. The precise percentage, measurement method, exclusions, service credits, and claim procedure can vary by contract and service location, making the individual service order an important part of any business-critical deployment.

A significant operational issue occurred during May and June 2026, when Dutch authorities seized more than 800 servers associated with one of MIRhosting’s colocation customers during an ongoing sanctions investigation. MIRhosting denied active involvement, suspended the affected customer, cooperated with the authorities, and analyzed the preserved AS52000 traffic records connected with the incident.

A separate disruption followed when nLighten terminated its service relationship with MIRhosting and disconnected equipment at the affected facility. Customers using that location had to retrieve or migrate their servers. nLighten AMS-1 continues to appear in parts of the location information, making written confirmation of the active facility roster advisable before new hardware is delivered.

These events create important continuity, facility-access, compliance, and infrastructure-concentration considerations. Business-critical deployments should include clear customer-hardware ownership records, independent retrieval rights, a secondary location, documented migration procedures, and a tested failover strategy.

✍️ Customer Support

Technical support operates 24/7/365. Existing customers can open support tickets through the management panel at dash.mirhosting.com or send requests from their registered account email address to support@mirhosting.

Sales and billing departments operate daily from 10:00 to 17:00 GMT. Separate contact addresses are available for sales, colocation, support, abuse, and legal matters. Prospective customers can request a consultation or a detailed commercial quotation through the contact forms.

Colocation customers have access to remote-hands and smart-hands engineers. Their work can include hardware installation, cabling, diagnostics, component replacement, platform recovery, firmware and hardware upgrades, inventory management, packing, transportation, and equipment removal. Managed and Premium configurations also include a dedicated account manager and direct chat communication with remote-hands engineers.

Warehouse and logistics services are available for hardware received before installation, replacement components, spare equipment, and later relocation. Transportation within the Netherlands can be organized with insurance, while international shipping is billed according to the carrier and destination.

This combination of continuous technical support, multilingual engineers, on-site intervention, hardware procurement, and logistics is considerably more complete than the assistance normally included with an unmanaged VPS. Emergency response times and normal next-business-day completion targets depend on the selected package and should be defined separately in the service agreement.

🔨 Control Panel

Customer administration is centralized through the MIRhosting management panel at dash.mirhosting.com. The panel handles account access, orders, billing, service administration, and technical support tickets.

Colocated servers can include secure BMC access through VPN, covering IPMI, iLO, and iDRAC interfaces. Customers can monitor hardware, access a remote console, restart equipment, and perform low-level troubleshooting without exposing the management interface directly to the public Internet.

The PaaS platform includes a graphical management interface and API for application deployment, scaling, database selection, environment configuration, and resource monitoring. This interface is designed for application and infrastructure management rather than conventional shared-hosting administration.

Managed Backup includes a multi-level R1Soft interface for backup schedules, restore points, file recovery, database-aware backups, and bare-metal restoration. Object Storage can be managed through S3-compatible applications, scripts, and APIs.

Commercial licenses for cPanel, Plesk, CloudLinux, Microsoft products, and other software can be supplied at additional cost for customer-owned servers. These control panels are optional products rather than standard components included with every MIRhosting service.

🎯 Conclusion

MIRhosting is best suited to technically experienced organizations that require more than a standard VPS or shared-hosting account. Its main strengths are flexible colocation, hardware procurement and logistics, capable remote hands, custom bare-metal deployments, S3-compatible storage, managed backups, PaaS resources, AS52000 connectivity, and an extensive DWDM transport network.

The company is particularly relevant to hosting providers, SaaS platforms, network operators, and organizations that prefer to own their hardware while outsourcing installation and physical maintenance. Racks, IP transit, private transport, DDoS filtering, cloud interconnection, spare-parts storage, and on-site engineering can be combined under one commercial relationship.

Pricing for individual servers and rack power is reasonably transparent, although many cloud, connectivity, engineering, and managed infrastructure services require a quotation. Large colocation contracts should clearly define uptime credits, available power, remote-hands response times, DDoS capacity, equipment ownership, insurance, cancellation conditions, relocation procedures, and hardware return rights.

The May and June 2026 investigation and the nLighten disconnection materially affect the risk assessment. New customers should obtain written confirmation of the currently active facilities, direct hardware-retrieval rights, and the procedures used if a data center relationship ends unexpectedly. A limited initial deployment or a multi-provider infrastructure design is safer than concentrating every critical system in a single location.

From a technical perspective, MIRhosting offers an unusually complete combination of colocation, networking, storage, and managed infrastructure. It remains a strong option for specialized deployments when the commercial agreement includes adequate continuity safeguards and a clear secondary-site strategy.
