😠 I agree with the guy that said the CTO is a complete arrogant prick. Don't bother asking for help from him, he'll just tell you it's not in your contract...
Also, their technical skills are very limited, so even if they are willing to help you (fat chance) then chances are they won;t know how to do it. I had to Google up some bash commands for the supposed Chief Technology Officer...

I hosted my Ecommerce web site for coming close to 2 years. Encountered problem with other host due to resource and bandwidth issue. HostSG have been able to keep up with my high traffic usage. My customers from China experienced very fast loading speed compared when i was on my previous host. Their tech guy know their stuff well, so highly recommend them for someone who require good strong ASEAN network presence.

😁 I would like to express my thanks to Hostsg for their fantastic support. I host a fairly large forum and migration is quite a pain for me, but Hostsg assisted me throughout the whole process, and i must said they have made my choice a very happy one, as 2 other web hosts that i approached in Singapore quoted me S$500 for the migration fees. To and fro takes almost a full day of non-stop communication through their ticket support system. I am glad at least i need not wait for 2-3 days for them to attend to my problem (like most web hosting company in Singapore does) . Kudos to Hostsg, please continue to keep up the customer spirit!

😃 HostSG is decent service provider, as compare to other providers in the market. Downtime is less. Control is the usual like every other provider, using CPANEL 11. I get pretty good response with their tech support .

😉 With regards to Mr Ray Lee testimonial, the customer web site have exceeded the hosting plan bandwidth on more than 2 occassions and i think we have been understanding enough to allow them temporary upgrading to the next plan while waiting for a finalised decision. However, we do not receive a prompt reply as to the customer is intended to upgrade or not, while giving the customer free bandwidth increase during the waiting period for his reply.
The customer was also caught spamming large amount of email on more 2 incident which resulted the shared server IP to be blacklisted by several list and we receive major complaint from other ISP as well. HostSG policy strictly forbid sending of spam, and a single violation will resulted in the account being terminated, but we only give the customer an email warning despite the second violation without termination. 😃 Their budget hosting uses cPanel, i am more familiar with Helm, though no other major issue. Uptime is 100% for me so far, their technical staffs know their stuff. I'm on the $6 plan, working well for me so no major complaints. It would be good if they got other control panel for me to choose from though.

😃 I am on their Business Diamond plan, no issues with the email uptime, in fact i have not experience any down time at all for the past 1 year. I guess this is because of their clustered server technology. Responsive support.. and helpful staffs.

😃 I received more than 600,000 visitors to my blog a week, my ex hosting company (don't want to mention their name, it start with (Host*****) terminate my account saying my site continuously exceeded their bandwidth.
I shifted my blog to Hostsg last year on the Business Hosting Plan (unmetered bandwidth), they assisted me with the migration. Best of all, i no longer have issues with bandwidth, nor did they send me any emails for overage bandwidth issues.
I highly recommend hostsg for their support level, because i have some problems with my database, and their CTO , Mr Tan help me personally with troubleshooting.

😃 Support wise is very good, fast reply even at night. Their price is not the cheapest, but service and reliability is my main importance with any hosting company. I found a $1.99 US hosting plan couple of years back, but my site went up and down like nobody business.
Regarding the testimonial from Ray Lee, i assume he does not know bandwidth in Singapore is 10 times more expensive than US, thus most Singapore hosting company fees deem more expensive than US hosting. I have my previous account with Bluehost, and they suspend my account immediately because i hit my plan bandwidth limit. I assume most companies does this, so i am not surprised that most hosting company will suspend the account immediately once you have hit your bandwidth limit, so i think you should be thankful hostsg willing to do extension for free.

😠 Their customer service, particularly headed by supposedly the CEO or CTO is really atrocious. They treat you like a dim wit when dealing with you without any sort of graciousness (and believe me, I am *NOT* a dim wit as I graduated magna cum). This I tell from their support emails dripping with sarcasm.
Compared to the American counterparts, their servers have relatively older software, less software and they overcharge for bandwidth limits. ONe good thing, however, is at least they allow a temporary bandwidth increase for you to make a decision if it is worth upgrading, but for money that has to be well thought of in terms of tying yourself down for the next 12 months, they try to rush that decision out of you in just 2-3 days.
I definitely don't recommend this hosting site and advise others to do a google search first for "top 10 hosting sites" to get much much better deals.
