😠 Have unlimited hosting with Crazy Domains. Around 10 websites to the hosting. Server has been down for more than 2 hours. Customer service is terrible. I had to remind the agent that the initial recording while waiting to speak to a customer service agent, mentioned that I will speak to a friendly customer service agent. And when I got through to the agent, not friendly at all and had to remind him that the prerecording said I'll be speaking to a 'Friendly customer service agent' then he changed his tune. Additionally have been a customer for quiet some time, and in the past when a huge issue like this occurs, they use to compensate by giving some free extra hosting, they do recognise loyal customers or have a policy around recognising loyal customers, my last bill was $1000 and I get really poor customer service and a poor product. I will be looking to move all my hosting elsewhere and as well as move all my clients hosting away from Crazy Domains. See photos for proof that servers [read more...]

😠 I added a domain to the cart to register and proceeded to payment. It says my card was declined, but in fact I received and SMS from my bank that my card was charged for the price of the domain. Upon contacting crazydomains.com support still no answer. The domain still not registered, my card was charged and I was scammed.

😠 Crazy domains dont care for clients.
Crazy domains have a reseller - who abandoned their business and left domain holders with no access to their domains.
We notified Crazy Domains about this around 6 - 8 months ago. We managed to retrieve that clients Auth code after hours of effort.
Now another person has contacted us. Their website and emails are down as their domain is no longer current.
Crazy Domains (CD) were contacted two or more weeks ago. They backed the resellers 'rights' and tried to contact him. Fair call - although after we outed this guy 6 months ago you would think they would clean up their act with him.
We requested the auth code sent to the registered owners email address. No!
We were told we need to provide photo id (passport) and a signed letter. Done.
We were told we needed to open a CD account. Done.
We were told to open it under the owners email address - done.
We verified the CD account via the owners email address. done.

Crazy Domains is an international domain registrar and hosting brand that started in Western Australia in the early 2000s and has grown into a large multi-region platform for domains, hosting and online services. Mark Evans is the founder of Crazy Domains. He started the company from his home in Australia. Today they operate under Dreamscape Networks International Pte Ltd and sit within the wider Newfold Digital group, with a clear focus on small-business web presence solutions. They present themselves as a company that grew from a small startup into a leading registrar across Australia, Europe, India, New Zealand and the Middle East, serving millions of customers and domains.
They are not just a traditional web host but a full-service online toolbox. The core pillars are:
- Domains and DNS – registration, renewal, transfers and backorders, domain privacy, free DNS hosting and a broad catalogue of new gTLDs and country-code domains.
- Shared web hosting – cPanel- and Plesk-based plans branded simply as Web Hosting, aimed at small to medium sites with cloud-backed infrastructure, unmetered bandwidth (fair use), free SSL certificates, standard DDoS and malware protection, multiple PHP versions, SSH access and an integrated cache manager. These plans carry a 99.9% uptime guarantee and a 60-day money-back guarantee, with Sydney data centres highlighted for Australian customers.
- Business Hosting & WordPress Hosting – higher-spec shared tiers for busier sites. They add more CPU/RAM, enhanced WordPress performance (object caching, WP-CLI) and on-demand cPanel backups, while keeping the 99.9% uptime and 60-day money-back promise.
Above shared hosting, Crazy Domains offers VPS / Virtual Servers (Linux servers with cPanel and a cloud network in Australia, Europe and the USA, plus Windows VPS with Plesk) and Dedicated Servers (Enterprise and Storage variants) with 24/7 monitoring, gigabit networking, configurable bandwidth and a 99.9% uptime promise for the hosting environment.
Around the hosting core sits a wide ecosystem of related products: business email hosting on the Titan platform, hosted Microsoft Exchange, the Sitebeat website builder and web-design services, SSL certificates, security and backup products, and online marketing tools (traffic booster, email marketing, directory listings, SEO utilities). This "all in one" positioning makes them attractive to startups and small businesses that want to get everything – domain, site, email, security and marketing – from a single vendor.
They are a global, mass-market brand with very broad coverage and strong promotional pricing, aimed at customers who value convenience and bundled services more than highly customized infrastructure.
💰 Price & Cost
Crazy Domains relies heavily on promotional pricing, regional variations and multi-year discounts. Exact rates differ by country site, currency and term length, but some patterns are clear:
- Shared / Business / WordPress hosting – entry-level plans are presented as low monthly rates when billed annually or for longer periods, with frequent "up to X% off" campaigns. Business and WordPress tiers sit higher than basic shared hosting in price but add more performance and features. The promotional view often highlights percentage discounts rather than static price tables, with final amounts shown at checkout.
- Website Builder & Ecommerce – Sitebeat-based plans are sold in bundles such as Website Only, Website + Marketing and Website + Ecommerce. Localised pages show mid double-digit monthly prices (in local currency) for full ecommerce bundles and include a free 15-day trial without credit card, which is a low-risk way to test the builder.
- Email Exchange – sold per mailbox per month in Economy, Premium and Business tiers, each with different storage and features. The exact price per mailbox depends on region and currency.
Refund policies are more clearly defined than the marketing-level pricing:
- 60-day money-back guarantee for shared web hosting, Business Hosting, WordPress Hosting and related web-hosting services. Dissatisfied customers can request a refund within 60 days, subject to the web-hosting terms.
- 48-hour money-back (account credit) guarantee for VPS and some dedicated/server plans. In these cases, refunds are issued as account credit, not cash.
- 30-day money-back guarantee for SSL certificates.
Payment methods are broad and reflect their global reach. In different regions they accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Maestro debit, ZipPay, WebMoney, Alipay, UnionPay, Neteller, Dragonpay and more. For reseller storefronts the integrated gateways are typically credit card and PayPal.
The key financial takeaway is that Crazy Domains uses low entry prices and heavy discounts to attract customers but backs core hosting with a relatively generous 60-day refund window. Server products have stricter, credit-based guarantees and prices that need careful checking at renewal, especially after intro promotions expire.
🏢 Data Center
Crazy Domains uses a robust infrastructure. Their data-centre highlight:
- Enterprise-grade hardware (Dell servers, Cisco networking)
- N+1 UPS power redundancy
- A core cloud network with a 99.99% network availability target
- 24/7 monitoring and managed environments for VPS and dedicated servers
The hosting footprint is genuinely global. Shared hosting emphasises Sydney data centres for Australian customers, while VPS marketing references enterprise data centres in Australia, Europe and the USA. Dedicated server and "Why choose us" sections talk about global core data centres backed by SLAs, with gigabit networking and SSD-backed configurations for speed.
Corporate offices, support and data centres are spread across Australia, Europe, Asia, India, New Zealand, the Middle East, the UK and the US, coordinated under a Singapore-based operating company (although they still have main office in Australia listed on Linkedin). This provides geographic diversity for customers who want regional hosting close to their audience.
They also highlight an eco-friendly angle, referring to energy- and water-efficient infrastructure and modern, energy-efficient server systems across "eco-friendly data centres."
On uptime, there is a distinction between network and service levels:
- Network/core infrastructure – 99.99% target
- Hosted services (web hosting, Business/WordPress hosting, Titan email) – 99.9% uptime guarantee
These guarantees are framed in the usual way for a mass-market provider: infrastructure-related downtime is covered by SLA provisions, while application-level problems or customer misconfiguration are excluded.
✍️ Customer Support
Support is strongly featured in Crazy Domains’ messaging. They advertise 24/7 technical support across multiple regions, delivered through:
- Phone support on regional numbers (for example, Australian 1300 numbers and UK/European lines)
- Live chat widgets embedded on product and checkout pages
- Email and ticket-based support, including a dedicated customer care address for complaints and escalations
- A large knowledge base/help centre covering DNS, hosting, email, Sitebeat, marketing products and reseller tools
For more complex or time-intensive tasks, Crazy Domains sells Advanced Support as an add-on. This higher-tier service gives access to senior administrators and developers for things like complex migrations, database/file restoration beyond standard scope, and custom website tweaks.
Email and Exchange services specifically mention 24/7 skilled support, while VPS and dedicated server pages underline continuous monitoring and always-on assistance as part of the uptime and SLA story.
As with most large providers, the actual customer experience will depend on the quality of individual interactions, but structurally the support offering is broad, multi-channel and available around the clock, with a path to paid, higher-touch help when standard support is not enough.
🔨 Control Panel
Crazy Domains leans on familiar, industry-standard control panels rather than building everything from scratch:
- Shared Web Hosting – offered with both cPanel and Plesk, giving customers a choice of Linux-focused (cPanel) or more Windows-friendly (Plesk) environments.
- WordPress Hosting – essentially cPanel hosting with additional WordPress tooling such as object caching, WP-CLI and on-demand cPanel backups.
- Linux VPS – deployed with standard server management tools and optional cPanel/WHM, allowing users to run multiple sites or even resell hosting.
- Windows VPS – includes Plesk Host Manager for GUI-based management of Windows sites and services.
In addition, DNS management, SSH access, cronjobs and other advanced controls are integrated into the hosting platform and Account Manager, so users can manage domains, hosting and add-on services from a single login. Sitebeat, their website builder, sits on top as an option for users who prefer drag-and-drop site design rather than working inside cPanel or Plesk directly.
This approach means that beginners can start with the Account Manager and Sitebeat, while more experienced users have full cPanel/Plesk environments to work with.
🎯 Conclusion
Crazy Domains is a global, mass-market registrar and hosting platform designed for individuals, startups and small to medium-sized businesses that want an "everything under one roof" solution. Its primary strengths include:- Long-standing presence and a large installed base of domains and customers.
- A wide product catalogue spanning domains, shared and business hosting, managed WordPress, VPS, dedicated servers, email, Exchange, website builder, SSL, backup and marketing tools.
- A global data-centre footprint with clear network and service uptime benchmarks and an emphasis on eco-friendly operations.
- A generous 60-day money-back guarantee on core shared hosting products, which is more than many competitors offer.
- Broad payment options and 24/7 support with phone, chat, email and an extensive knowledge base.
On the flip side, the heavy use of discounts and regional pricing means customers should pay close attention to renewal costs and contract lengths. Money-back policies differ by product family (full 60 days for shared hosting, short credit-only windows for servers, 30 days for SSL), and server environments are shared with a large customer base rather than tailored for niche or compliance-heavy workloads.
For most small businesses, freelancers and startups looking for a one-stop shop for domains, hosting, email and basic marketing services, Crazy Domains is a practical and convenient option. For highly specialised, regulated or very performance-sensitive projects, it may serve better as part of a broader multi-provider strategy rather than the sole infrastructure backbone.

😠 NEVER USE Crazy Domains!
Terrible company... all they care about is conning consumers into buying domains (at a low rate) to then learn the said domain you have just purchased is next to useless.
They basically sell you a domain name you can't do anything with and then ask you to pay more (than other providers) to make it work. You literally can't do anything with the domain you purchase until you purchase more options. You can't even do a redirect to an exisiting site without paying more and more money.
NO info or warnings are visible about the pointless domain purchase. Either during the adding to cart section or the payment section of the site. You might as well write your domain name on a scrap piece of paper and save yourself some money for all the use the domain purchase is.
These guys are crooks and everyone should stay away from them.
If I could give a negative star rating I would.

😠 I paid for a 10 year mail account and transfer of a domain name. I gave CrazyDomains SEVEN months notice before expiry of my existing contact with a more reputable host.
Having supplied all information and authorisation transfer codes at the time of payment I found that CrazyDomains had done nothing except bank the payment. The domain name had to be retrieved from the previous host at additional cost due to CrazyDomain’s incompetence.
Despite numerous communications with their “account managers” they failed to effect the transfer, failed to provide any service and failed to make any reimbursement.
Although they operate out of Singapore and bank payments through Singapore they do not follow the laws of Singapore or the business ethics of that country.
In the small print they hide behind the legislation of Dubai to avoid their responsibilities.
These guys make the Mafia look honest and respectable. You are suitably warned.
