😠 contabo was supposed to give me..de extansion,instead it gave me .com... when i complained they shut me down and refused to give me access to my files... to this day (except for one nasty homophobic email) they refused to answer anything treating me wtih total ignorance and arrogance... STAY AWAY FROM CONTABO AT ALL COSTS IF YOU DONT WATN TO BE SCREWED AND LOSE TIME!

😁 Do not host your public sites on Contabo server, they have the worst TTBF ever in the market. They also have weird policies. I paid for a year, cancelled on their dashboard within 14 days, waited 8-10 days for refund, but did not receive a refund. Upon reaching out to customer care, they said their policy states that just cancellation is not enough, the customer has to send them a refund request in a prescribed format either via a mailed letter, a fax, or email. C'mon, ... ]]>

😠 I used Contabo's service for more than two months before they claimed that my virtual private server had a virus and asked to arbitrarily terminate it. They then demanded that I pay an additional service cost of 34.05 dollars to reopen the virtual private server. My virtual private server, however, just uses it for personal purposes and does not access or download any malicious software. To reopen the VPS, this company made me pay the aforementioned price. There is no method for me to recover my deleted data. Beware of this type of deception if you discover that Contabo offers a cheap virtual private server service you can utilize. It's a fraud.

😉 Впервые в жизни за 15 лет работы в IT, я сталкиваюсь с настолько безразличным провайдером по отношению к клиенту.
Мне повезло еще платить за настройку, сумму равную месячному тарифу (сейчас вроде отменили).
Моя история следующая: Есть несколько крупных сайтов с хорошей посещаемостью и пару клиентов, которым я тоже завел отдельные сервера. Попыток арендовать у Contabo сервера было 2 с разницей в полгода. Оба раза завершились приемом Корвалола и сутками на перенос всего добра к нормальному хостеру.

Основных проблем у Contabo две: Проблема с сетевым оборудованием, которое они восстанавливали во всех случаях более чем 8 часов и "дружественная" техподдержка, которая пи возникновении сложностей ответит вам не раньше, чем восстановит проблему. По другим вопросам связанным с серверами, вас будут пинать пользоваться Google. Как выяснилось позже, коллектив компании - это всего несколько человек, которые физически не справляются быстро запускать сервера и чинить сеть.

Do not host your public sites on Contabo server, they have the worst TTBF ever in the market. They also have weird policies. I paid for a year, cancelled on their dashboard within 14 days, waited 8-10 days for refund, but did not receive a refund. Upon reaching out to customer care, they said their policy states that just cancellation is not enough, the customer has to send them a refund request in a prescribed format either via a mailed letter, a fax, or email. C'mon, which year are they living in?

Anyhow I lost the money 1 year subscription money. They lost a customer forever. I still have my ERP instance running on contabo. I am waiting for the contract period to end to switch back to GCP.

They have Just Low Price and have Zero Value of Data.
One of my Server from Contabo has made ofline by the Contabo Team by telling that, their is some Technical Error.
but, after 6 hours, they sent an Email Stating that, their Server has Crashed and Whole Data Have Lost.
They are Not Giving any Compensation, but Just Sending apology Emails.

Have many other companies doing the same, If you come here because the price...Go away, because probably will stay more cheap if you pay a little more in other company. Totally disappointed with this company, also its not clear how they handle the Data of the clients, like the ID cards, Passports, Address documents, etc. (Data protection under GDPR), if they have legal authority to collect our personal data and how they stored in EU or USA and if they have he Data Protection Officer (DPO) to handle legally our data. Customer Service is pathetic and pretty shady which may be why they ignore you but the fact is that someone took it upon themselves to create an account and they charged the account again even though they had been told the process had been done and 'dealt with' already. Thats not the real issue because when we have tried to get them to fix it, they have ignored us since. They stole money and we had to place a dispute with the bank even though it was them that made this wild mistake or I am not sure what to make of it. The fact is that they just continue to ignore us. They have NOT replied about it. Its so shady. I am asking for a reverse on something they took the liberty of fraudulently completing. 😠 Similar to another user, they hosted a website that uploaded my content illegally. I sent an abuse email, and they never responded. After waiting and receiving no reply, I wrote a bad review on another website, and they left a condescending reply and campaigned to delete the review. They never got back to let me know if they ever took down the site and never gave a genuine apology for hosting an illegal site or the emotional distress they caused me, as I was mourning someone dying from COVID while dealing with their unprofessional behavior. They care more about their reputation than maintaining any integrity.

😠 Ik heb 2 weken een server gehad bij Contabo en gekozen voor hun service omdat ze onder andere 99% mitigatie van DDoS aanvallen bevolen.
Dit is dus niet waar. Ik werd door een onbekende bron geDDoSed en het enige wat Contabo deed is mijn verbinding uitzetten en kwamen niet met een oplossing.
Na drie dagen heeft Contabo mijn server definitief uitgezet en ik had voor drie maanden betaald en krijg nu niet mijn geld terug door de DDoS.

Hun belofte van 99% DDoS mitigatie moet je dus niet op vertrouwen als je bij hun een server besteld.
Je bent je geld kwijt en ook je service bij DDoS aanvallen.

😠 contabo charges you a fee, but does not provide vps, you just ask for documents for verification to your e-mail. The support period lasts between 24 and 38 hours, customer satisfaction, zero refund, does not give an uncertain time when it will be made. My advice is to work with corporate companies with support from your own country, do not be disgraced with your money.

If you want to start working with contabo, keep in mind that if one day you cannot pay for any reason
in less than 10 days they will delete all the data,
this is a big problem for any new company in the organization phase,

😁 I have been using them for nearly 2 years now without any problems.

First I had a vps (VPS XL SSD, shared resources), I had to cancel it because I needed performance from the server and it didn't have that. I think thats fair play as it has shared resources, I wasn't expecting it to perform well.

I changed my plan to VDS S, the dedicated vps without shared resources.

This one exceeded my expectations; usually when site says "3 cpu cores" they actually mean threads, but they gave 3 cores -> 6 threads, and the cpu AMD EPYC 7282 2.8 GHz had more than enough performance for my needs. Add 24gb of ram and NVMe SSD for storage... This was almost too good to be true in my mind. I performance tested the processing power, tested that I have access to all 24 gb ram, tested ssd speed, internet speed, everything worked better or as advertised.

😠 Hello Contabo Scammer,
Just wanted to say that stay away from contabo they are scamming people they don't provide what we are paying for when we ask for the support they just say => we cannot do anything about it.

& exactly after few days, they have suspended my VPS without any reason & when I call them they said this is due to abuse & they have emailed me because they said email bounce back & I am using Gmail so there is no way of bounce back from my side receiving many emails daily!

😠 They have problems with hackers. Used to have a M VPS for some years. I used it to test and run python scripts. 99% without any internet traffic. Twice they told me that they had reports that my server attacked other sites. First time two years ago, I panicked and was trying to find what was wrong. Then they said that it's ok and that the problem ended without me doing something. Second time is now. They sent me an email saying about the attack of my server to other sites, that I should respond to. I did respond but after a couple of days they suspended my account and wanted to get paid to bring it back up. Their excuse is possibly that I did not do something immediately. Some kind of action. Well....my time is not theirs. And I know that my VPS did not cause any problems because I actually did not do something like that. I consider this extremely unprofessional. 😠 Ich habe mehrmals eine Mail an Abuse und Support von Contabo geschrieben, die werden einfach ignoriert. Einen von deren Server scant meinen Server bei OHV ständig ab nach offenen Ports. Das habe ich bemerkt und somit einen Log erstellt und Contabo zugesandt. Es wird ignoriert und es wird noch immer ständig gescannt. Schade, deshalb schreibe ich diese Rezension, man soll diese Firma besser genauso ignorieren sowie die Abuse und Supportanfragen ignorieren. Es ist so gewollt anscheinend. Wie dusselig muss man sein. Ihr seit gewarnt.

😠 Tienen el ancho de banda capado, tengo 600MB en la oficina, una linea simétrica y he subido archivos al servidor a 200Kb/s. Después de horas en subir 300MB que es lo que pesaba la web, a veces entra a la primera y otras tarda mas de 2 minutos en poder acceder, es decir lineas capadas y sobre carga en los servidores... ahorraros el dinero. Los servidores no se como estarán pero las VPS es un engaño, volví a probar una VPS suya después de medio año y me paso exactamente lo mismo. Por cierto, no devuelven el dinero, una empresa que valora mas perder un cliente que perder 20€ ya os dice que tipo de empresa es... solicito la devolución el mismo día de la compra porque es un servicio pésimo y me dice que no pueden hacerlo porque la VPS les supuso un coste, el cual pagas al contratar un coste de instalación, que se queden con los gastos de instalación y me devuelvan la diferencia... y dicen que da igual, que el dinero no lo de vuelve.

I have been working in this field for more than 7 years.
I dealt with Godaddy, hostgator, and Blue Host.
From my stupidity, I dealt with this bad company.
Within 17 days I became crazy because of them.
Twice the control panel refuses to accept the email I am registered with, send them to provide me with new registration information.
Finally, they claim that I am conducting fraudulent activities and during this period no website of my own works by hosting them.
Advice to stay away from them will lose your money and time.

😠 I used hosting for only a few days. SSD hard drives are terribly slow as are internet connections. And today they completely turned off access to the server. The site interface is out of date 10 years ago. Registration without order is not available. Customer support responds very slowly. I do not recommend this hosting.

😁 Top service. The server quality is very good. Performance is best from a lot of hostess I tried in my long developer life ago.

Support is very fast and communicates good. Solves always the problems if some occurs.

I cant understand the bad reviews, because I use Contabo server for over 5 years now and they were all time the best servers I had.

TOP TOP TOP! If you want some servers, get contabo! Never had such good performance for this money.

Overloaded servers, slow connections, super slow support, attention only in German hours and is not 24/7.
Its interface and attention system is super horrible and unfriendly.

Last case:
I made the purchase of two servers, they have taken more than 24 hours to activate them, do not want to cancel the order and proceed to the refund (made in PayPal).

You are filled in with reminders from 11 days before the payment date (ALL DAYS).

after first login into my first contabo vps, the feel was really satisfying, i can just ditch my VULTR/DigitalOcean/Linode vps.

😁 Contabo is an excellent partner providing hosting services at a reasonable price. It has good communication with customers, it's only slow over the weekend. VPS servers are fast and stable, so our experience is in the conditions when we work with two large news websites.
We previously worked with Bluehost, 1and1 and gave up on them because they are expensive and are not better than Contabo. We recommend.

😠 This is by far the worst company I have had to deal with after 20 years creating websites. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Their service is not only terrible, they make you pay additional money for the most ridiculous reasons and enforce their policies with such rigidity and stubbornness that they simply drive clients away. I have no idea why I stayed with them for years but in the end they lost all my data, kept money I had payed in advance for services I never received and offered to refund me that money ONLY if I did not post reviews like this one. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PEOPLE.

😠 I bought VPS M SSD from Contabo. Paid for 1 year. First, I configured it easily. But before upload the files the server crashed without any reason. I tried every potential solutions and all failed. Then I tried to communicate with Contabo. They didn’t respond my emails. I cancelled their service and wanted refund. No reply. Serious! They didn’t send me even one email. This is worst server experience possible. This is a scam.

Don't buy any servers from this company.
1gb/s or 10gb/s ports will be after 10 days downgraded to 100Mb/s port even you paid 99 euro setup fee + 99 euro monthly for 10gb/s port.

And all of that just because their 'Fair policy'.
I've got just mail after 10 days that my port is gonna be switched to 100Mb/s because I've exceeded 100Mb/s bandwidth in last 10 days. For what is than that 10gb/s port???

They do not have this fair policy anywhere publicly posted!!
I did not accepted this fair policy in registration / order!!
I feel just like mine 200 euro for 10gb/s port will be now "thrown to the trash".

I was not paying 200 euro to have 10gb/s port only for 10 days!!

I'm using them for 10 days now, from day to day there's only more and more problems from their side.

😠 I placed an order with Contabo just over 72 hours ago - payment was taken immediately. After number of attempts to contact their support over 24 hours later, I finally received a message back saying that because I have not paid for additional CAL, the order was not processed. Finally the host was ready just after 48hours and in my first attempt to use it, the entire application menus were in German(Deutsch). Unfortunately I cannot read that and the information could have not been translated. I contacted their support in attempts to resolve this and was told that they contacted their higher support team and this cannot be resolved. I asked to cancel and was told I will be refunded.

I since received at least 6 or more emails asking why Im leaving and what can they do to keep me as a client, completely ignoring previous discussions with their support.

They refuse to provide a refund even though they cannot provide services so I had lodged a complaint via Paypal.

😠 Support is bad, takes ages before they answer.
They close a service when they are not able to redraw money over paypal, and this without warning and without writing the clients an E-mail, then adds a 15 Eur fee to reopen, so in short really bad service, DON'T USE THIS HOSTING/ SERVER PROVIDER, they will give you a bad experience for sure..
Thanks Contabo the sites we have hosted with you lost the complete black friday profit, that must be called German efficiency.

😁 I am a great grandmother living in the UK, who is learning how to build drupal websites and learning about WHM cpanel servers. I can only speak for my own experience and I have a vps server with contabo.com in Germany. This company represents good value in servers and have exceptional support, so try to imagine the patience they need to be able to support someone like me but I am making progress thanks to their kind support and I am about to upgrade to a SSD vps and I hope in the near future I will be able to afford a dedicated server with contabo.com By the way, this is genuine nobody is paying me to say this. 😠 Please do not try them. They can shut down your server for 8 hours and request 30 EUR for unsuspend by ridiculous reasons. Also they charge 40 EUR per bank transfer although you already paid transfer fees.

We have 10+ servers at Contabo and now hardly working to migrate another DC. We will never work with them.
