*📜 Plan description
ProFreeHost has built its popularity on a straightforward promise — free web hosting without intrusive ads or hidden fees. It’s a minimalistic yet functional service designed for individuals, hobbyists, or small projects that need to get online quickly without committing to a paid plan.
From the moment you sign up, setup is instant and requires no credit card, making it accessible to anyone wanting to launch a website immediately. Each account includes a free subdomain, so you can publish your site without purchasing your own domain name (though you can connect one if you prefer).
Despite being free, ProFreeHost’s infrastructure is based on a clustered server network. This means your site isn’t tied to just one machine — if a server experiences issues, your content can still be delivered from another, supporting their 99.9% uptime claim.
The hosting environment comes with a familiar cPanel interface, giving users access to standard site management tools. The built-in Softaculous one-click installer allows quick deployment of popular CMS platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla, while PHP support (up to version 8.2) and MySQL databases enable more dynamic, database-driven websites. For those comfortable with fine-tuning server behavior, .htaccess configuration is available.
ProFreeHost also includes a basic website builder for users who prefer a drag-and-drop approach to design, as well as the option to create domain-based email addresses for a more professional appearance.
However, being a free shared hosting service, it comes with limits — notably 5 GB of disk space and performance that can fluctuate depending on how many users are active on the same servers. Technical support is handled through a ticket system and community forum, with no live chat or phone assistance.
In short, ProFreeHost is best suited for personal projects, small informational sites, and testing purposes. It’s not a replacement for premium hosting when consistent performance, advanced features, or hands-on support are required, but it’s a solid starting point for anyone who values cost-free simplicity and ad-free hosting.

📄 Editorial Review
ProFreeHost is a U.S.-registered, Wilmington-Delaware–based free hosting brand that resells infrastructure from iFastNet. They focus on shared hosting only, positioning the service for individuals and small projects that want to test, learn, or run lightweight sites without monthly costs. The platform emphasizes simplicity, quick setup, and a No Forced Ads policy on customer websites. You can also look over more Free Web Hosting Plans for alternatives. What You Get for Free
Accounts include a core bundle of resources and tools that cover most basic sites:
- 5 GB disk space and unlimited bandwidth
- Up to 10 addon domains, 10 parked domains, and 10 MySQL databases
- PHP (up to 8.2), .htaccess support, cron jobs, and Softaculous (300+ installers such as WordPress, Drupal, Joomla)
- A drag-and-drop website builder
- Automatic self-signed SSL, Cloudflare compatibility, firewall protection, and standard Apache/LAMP tooling
- Console-level access via phpMyAdmin and a file manager
A notable constraint is the 10 MB max file size per upload, which can limit media-heavy sites or large plugin/theme installs.
Reliability and Performance
ProFreeHost advertises a 99.9% uptime target. They distribute load across clustered Linux servers with a multi-server setup designed to mask single-node failures. Hardware and network notes include Intel-based nodes, Cisco networking, UPS and generator power, and 24/7 monitoring. For a free tier, this is a reasonable baseline, but it’s still best suited to low-to-moderate workloads rather than mission-critical use.
Data Location and Network
While the company address is in the United States (Wilmington, DE), the data centers are located in the UK. This can benefit audiences near Europe, but sites targeting other regions may want to pair hosting with a CDN for consistent latency.
Control Panel and Software
They provide a custom, cPanel-style control panel with the familiar layout for managing domains, databases, email, and files. Softaculous speeds up application deployment, and the stack supports popular CMS platforms out of the box.
Support and Self-Help
Support is intentionally lean to keep the service free. Help is available via tickets, email, a knowledge base, and community forums. There is no phone support and no active social channels listed, so urgent issues are best handled through the ticket system. Expect response times that reflect a free-tier model.
Acceptable Use, Backups, and Limits
As with most free hosts, the Terms of Service are strict:
- Content and conduct policies prohibit adult content on free plans, streaming/relay services, proxies, bulk email, file distribution, and other high-resource or risky workloads.
- Resource usage (CPU, bandwidth behavior, disk) is monitored; excessive use can trigger suspension.
- Backups are your responsibility. They do not provide free restores from archives. If a manual backup is requested from their side, a fee may apply.
- Disk space is intended for active website files only; using the account as general cloud storage or for archives is not allowed.
Understanding and staying within these rules is essential to avoid interruptions.
Pricing and Guarantees
- Price: Free (funded by third-party advertising on ProFreeHost’s own properties, not on customer sites).
- Money-back guarantee: Not applicable for a free service.
- Uptime guarantee: Market-standard 99.9% target for the free tier.
Strengths
- Truly free shared hosting with a usable feature set
- No forced ads on customer sites
- Quick setup with Softaculous and a website builder
- Generous logical limits for a free plan (multiple domains/databases)
- Familiar, cPanel-like interface
Trade-Offs
- 10 MB upload cap can constrain media-rich or complex builds
- Shared hosting only—no VPS or dedicated options
- Lean support (no phone), so response times may vary
- Strict usage rules and the potential for throttling or suspension under load
- UK-hosted infrastructure may be sub-optimal for audiences far from Europe without a CDN
ProFreeHost operates as a minimalist hosting provider, relying solely on its website without maintaining any social media presence. Despite this straightforward approach, the company attracts significant web traffic by offering a highly popular free web hosting service that stands out for being completely ad-free, appealing to users seeking a clean and cost-free hosting solution.

😞 Not great. Thought my small business would be fine with free hosting but my CPU limit was reached and I was suspended. don't waste your time with this. I now have to transfer my site over to another provider

😞 Well, this free hosting and pretty much does it efficiently than most providers. So, my advice to people using this service is that don't put all of your genuine work on the domain created because your website may get suspended at any time. Mine got suspended in three months without referencing any reason at all. And you might not be able to transfer your website to another hosting as there is almost no customer support for free hosting. The admin need a special mention for being a shite. You can use this freehosting to learn Wordpress, analytics, and other beginner experiments.
