📅 - SonicWALL, Inc. (sonicwall.com) aprovider of Internet security solutions, today launched "CFS Premium," anexpanded version of its content filtering service.
According to the company, the new service is now available in bothgovernment/education and business versions.
The CFS Premium Editions are designed to broaden the current scope offirm's CFS Standard Edition by increasing the number of filtered categoriesfrom 12 to 56 while enhancing the policy-setting features available tonetwork administrators.
"Businesses of every size are looking for effective ways to improveproductivity. Optimizing their bandwidth by limiting access to bandwidth-hogging or districting applications like Internet radio is one way," saidMatt Medeiros, president and CEO of SonicWALL. "Filtering out Web sites withinappropriate content can also limit their exposure to hostile workenvironment lawsuits."
The new Premium Business Edition is available on SonicWALL's PRO 3060 andPRO 4060 platforms for $1,495 a year, and on the TZ 170 platform for $995 ayear. The new Government/Education Edition is available for $1,095 a yearon the PRO 3060 and $795 a year on the TZ 170.
SonicWALL's content filtering service employs a rating architecture thatuses a dynamic database of URLs, IP addresses, and domains to blockmultiple categories of objectionable content.
