📅 - Network security solutions provider BorderWare Technologies (borderware.com) and anti-spam software developer Brightmail (brightmail.com) announced on Wednesday that BorderWare is offering Brightmail with its MXtreme Mail Firewall version 4.0.

MXtreme 4.0 is an appliance designed to secure an enterprise's entire email infrastructure. Brightmail filters more than 100 billion messages per month for its customers and currently protects 300 million mailboxes, an estimated 25 percent of all mailboxes globally.
"Customers recognize the need to integrate a series of best-of-breed email defenses within a single, secure, failsafe solution that delivers high availability to ensure zero downtime, zero latency and zero message loss," says John Alsop, president and CEO of BorderWare Technologies. "Incorporating the Brightmail solution within MXtreme helps Borderware set the benchmark in email security, and automatically delivers the most effective spam-fighting technology that requires no ongoing IT administration."
The two companies have had a relationship since July 2003.
"Our partnership with BorderWare continues to flourish," says Enrique Salem, president and CEO of Brightmail. "Organizations today recognize the need to secure their email systems from the harmful effects of spam, viruses and other threats like denial of service attacks and directory harvesting. Our combined offering has successfully protected enterprises of all sizes and government users around the world from these threats."
