Aug 12, 2004 : Verio Expands VPS Solution to Tokyo

📅 August 12, 2004 - Web hosting provider Verio (verio.com ) announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its Virtual Private Server 2 offering with new delivery and management from an NTT Communications data center in Tokyo, Japan. Verio said the new service availability increase responsiveness and speed while reducing latency for customers with a presence in Asia.

The service is available to viaVerio reseller partners targeting small and medium-sized businesses. Verio said the service allows viaVerio resellers to offer new and improved Web services and applications at a reduced cost per hosting solution.
"As the company that introduced virtual private server technology to the marketplace, Verio demonstrates a commitment to deliver tailored VPS solutions and technology to our valued reseller partners in Asia-pacific and globally," says James Treuting, president of global sales for Verio. "With VPS v2 being hosted from NTT Com's secure data center in Tokyo over our Global IP Network, viaVerio partners can now offer a faster and customizable hosting solution to SME customers who want to build and grow their online business."
This VPS v2 environment allows companies to build and deploy an array of applications, including e-commerce, multimedia solutions and database applications.
VPS v2 is currently offered in Asia, the US and Europe. It is available in the Asia-pacific with Internet protocol version 4.
