Sep 16, 2004 : Siteserver Hosting Adds Data Center
📅 - Managed hosting provider Siteserver Hosting Inc. (siteserver.net) announced on Wednesday that it has opened it's newly constructed data center in Simi Valley, California.
The new facility was built from the ground up, says Siteserver, to the exact specifications needed for mission-critical applications. Features include dry-pipe standby fire systems, redundant air conditioning systems, onsite diesel backup power, and 3-phase APC silicon UPS units to ensure a constant power source, regardless of the condition of utilities. Siteserver's new data center boasts connectivity from SBC, Sprint, AT&T, and other Tier 1 providers via OC12 fiber connections, routed through multiple secure entry and exit points. The company says it will begin providing tours of the site in the fourth quarter of 2004.
