Jul 18, 2005 : Hostech Deploys Force 10 Equipment

📅 July 18, 2005 - Force 10 Networks (force10networks.com -> hostinger.com) said on Monday that Korean Web hosting provider Hostech Global had deployed its TeraScale E-Series switches and routers to expand the capacity and scalability of its network. Hostech's deployment will connect 10,000 servers and deliver services to its more than 2,500 customers.
 "Our customers rely on our network to store their business critical applications and data and require consistent, reliable access to those applications," says Dong-Geun Lim, senior manager of systems operations at Hostech Global. "The Force10 [devices] bring us the extremely high density that allows us to connect 10,000 servers without overly complicating our network and the resiliency we need to guarantee superior service delivery."  Force 10 says the combination Layer 2 and Layer 3 functionality of the TeraScale product enabled Hostech to collapse its distribution into a single layer, simplifying its network management. According to Force 10, the TeraScale E-Series supports 1,260 Gigabit and 56 line-rate 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports in a single chassis and process one billion packets per second.
