Feb 9, 2006 : Simplewebhosting Testing Support Tool

📅 February 9, 2006 - UK Web hosting provider Simplewebhosting (simplewebhosting.co.uk ) announced on Wednesday it is testing a new support option that securely connects customers to a technician via remote PC.

The trial offer shortens the otherwise time-consuming process of receiving technical support, allowing customers to have a Simplewebhosting technician show them how to fix their problems through their PC.

Once a customer grants permission for Simplewebhosting to connect, a small piece of software is temporarily downloaded to the user's PC, and immediately removed once the problem is fixed. The system is currently only available during office hours, but the company says it will extend those hours if the trial is successful.

Since 1995, Simplewebhosting has provided Web hosting, Web design and other related services to customers throughout the UK. Simplewebhosting hosting plans are available on Linux based severs, along with Apache Web server, CpPop mail server and mySQL database server.
