Oct 23, 2006 : ServerPlex Donates Computers

📅 - IT solutions firm ServerPlex Networks (serverplex.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Monday it has joined forces with The Salvation Army (salvationarmy.org) to offer reconditioned computers for underprivileged families in the San Francisco Bay area.

Beginning today and ending November 20, the company will be collecting new and used personal computers and monitors at its offices in San Mateo, California. All collected systems will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired by technicians from ServerPlex Networks' subsidiary company, ServerPlex Onsite, which specializes in computer repair and maintenance.

"In today's Web-oriented culture, it has become increasingly important to have at the very least a working computer at home, but for many that simply isn't a possibility," says Robert Marhamat, ServerPlex Networks business development manager. "To say we are looking forward to this tremendous opportunity would be an understatement. There is without question enormous need, and we will be doing everything we can to make a significant difference in our community."

ServerPlex Networks hopes to collect roughly 400 computers, which will be distributed to families in mid-December by the company in conjunction with The Salvation Army.
