United States military and intelligence communities have warned the world of this and they have stated that the phone, routers and circuits created by Huawei are used for Chinese eavesdropping.
While it has just been warnings up until this point, the FBI and NSA are examining Huawei and the national security implications. This is due to their potential participation in building a US 5G wireless network. Verizon and AT&T have not joined with Huawei on the project yet, but it is a prospect.
