Jan, 2009 : DotNetPanel Adds Support for SmarterMail

📅 January 29, 2009 - Software developers SmarterTools (smartertools.com) and SMB SAAS (dotnetpanel.com) announced on Thursday that the companies have partnered to build support for the SmarterMail email application into the DotNetPanel hosting control panel.

According to the announcement, DotNetPanel customers will be able to run SmarterMail Lite, a specially developed version of the SmarterMail mail server, providing unlimited email accounts and domains, starting March 1.

SmarterTools bills the SmarterMail product as a "cost-effective Microsoft Exchange alternative." Starting March 1, DotNetPanel customers will be able to deploy SmarterMail Lite, setting up unlimited email accounts and unlimited domains for "no additional charge."

"Our goal is to deliver feature-rich solutions for hosting businesses and this partnership allows us to provide an industry-leading mail server to our customers," said Feodor Fitsner, director of DotNetPanel. "SmarterMail provides users with an industry-leading Webmail interface and is the perfect complement to DotNetPanel for hosting and hosted service providers."

SmarterTools' website includes a more detailed description of the features of the SmarterMail software.

The DotNetPanel website includes an online demo of the Windows-based hosting control panel, which is available in several editions, including the freely available "Express" edition.
