📅 - European online solutions and media development company WpWeb (wpweb.com) has joined the R1Soft (r1soft.com) Hosting Partner Program, offering R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection solution as an add-on to its hosting services.
According to the announcement Monday, WpWeb, which offers round-the-clock, disk-based data backups for Windows and Linux, will now offer CDP to colocation clients as a complete backup solution, allowing restore point intervals of just minutes to back up entire servers.
A division of BBS Technologies, R1Soft's CDP will also let WpWeb shared hosting customers take advantage of CDP through a special Parallels H-Sphere control panel interface.
"R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection provides our clients with a cost effective, robust solution to protect their data," WpWeb chief executive officer Davide Miccone said in a statement. "With this technology, our clients have the peace of mind knowing in the event of a disaster or accidental data loss, they will have immediate access to a comprehensive, timely restore point."
Hosting more than 4000 small and medium-sized businesses, WpWeb is also offering CDP to as an in-office data protection solution, letting businesses store and manage restore points internally without relying on a remote server.
BBS Technologies R1Soft division Vice President David Wartell said the partnership with Turin, Italy-based will help CDP technology reach European businesses. "A key strength of CDP is its scalability and flexibility, and WpWeb has leveraged its wide variety of partnerships and services to offer world-class data protection services powered by CDP," David Wartell said in a statement.
In early August, Coventry, England-based Web hosting provider SpiralHost (spiralhost.com👉 Total Reviews: 1 🙌 Average Rating: 1 / 10 👍 Good Reviews: 0 👎 Bad Reviews: 1 👈 Official Responses: 0) began offering CDP free to all customers under the name "Rest Easy."
