Aug 11, 2008 : RatePoint Introduces Advisory Board


📅 - Customer feedback and online reputation management services provider RatePoint (ratepoint.com) announced on Monday it has formed the company's new advisory board.


The new board includes Howard A. Schmidt, president & CEO of R & H Security Consulting, Bill Kerrigan, former executive vice president at McAfee, and Bob Marshall, president and CEO of WeatherBug. 

"With this new Advisory Board we have brought together some of the industry's most accomplished and knowledgeable leaders that will provide guidance and advice on issues and projects that relate to their areas of expertise," says Neal Creighton, co-founder and CEO of RatePoint. "We are confident that the expertise these individuals will share with us will serve to significantly advance our business objectives." 

Schmidt has had nearly 40 years of experience in defense, law enforcement and corporate. He is currently the president and CEO of R & H Security Consulting, and has served as vice president and chief information security officer and chief security strategist for online auction giant eBay.

He has also served as chief security strategist for the US CERT Partners Program for the National Cyber Security Division, Department of Homeland Security. In December 2001, Schmidt was appointed by President Bush as the vice chair of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board and as the Special Adviser for Cyberspace Security for the White House.

Kerrigan was previously the executive vice president at McAfee, where he led its $500 million global consumer business. Before his tenure there, Kerrigan co-founded Rebar, a $1 billion privately held operating and holding company, and parent company of Corporate Software, a global software reseller, software management and IT services provider.  

Marshall co-founded AWS Convergence Technologies, owner and operator of the WeatherBug brand, where he currently serves as company president and CEO.

Before launching AWS, Marshall served as a program manager and lead engineer at BBN on a number of advanced military sensor, signal processing and networking programs. 

In June, RarePoint developed an enterprise version of its platform, targeting large organizations with distributed workforces, or franchise operations.
