Oct 15, 2007 : SWsoft Offers Plesk 8.3 Beta
📅 - Server automation and virtualization provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Monday it is now offering the beta version of Plesk 8.3 for Windows, the first control panel to support Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Internet Information Services 7.0.
The company will be demonstrating the Plesk beta at the Windows Server 2008 Hosting Roadshow (ws08hostingroadshow.msregistration.com), which begins today in the United States with additional dates in cities worldwide. The Roadshow is a free Microsoft event designed for Microsoft hosting partners.
SWsoft Plesk software automates a large number of tasks, enabling service providers to decrease operating costs while increasing efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction, says the company. The Plesk 8.3 beta program enables Windows users to test a variety of new features in Plesk, as well as improvements to IIS7, such as the enhanced FastCGI module.
"As the first control panel to support Windows Server 2008 and IIS7, the Plesk 8.3 beta gives Windows customers an opportunity to provide us with valuable feedback to ensure product quality," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. "SWsoft and Microsoft collaborated so that Windows customers can leverage our industry-leading Plesk control panel and ongoing Open Fusion technology initiative to take advantage of new Windows-based hosting opportunities."
SWsoft announced last month that its Virtuozzo solution has helped German Web hosting provider STRATO reduce its electric power consumption per customer by 30 percent.
