e-Gateway 1.1 introduces a number of enhancements tosolution functionality and scalability. Hummingbird e-Gateway is a server-side product thatenables the user to connect to legacy enterprisesystems (Mainframe, AS/400) through a browser. It iscentrally administered and user authentication ismanaged through the Hummingbird CAP Server which canbe linked to any enterprise identity directory andacts as an authentication gateway. Once a session tothe host is initiated, the browser displays a DynamicHTML page with the host screen. With DHTML andpatent-pending Remote Page Control, e-Gateway's serverrepaints specific areas of the browser screen andallows for dynamic refresh of the data-savingbandwidth and providing a true Terminal Emulationexperience. e-Gateway version 1.1 leveragestraditional emulation features such as keyboardmapping, color mapping or macro-recording from anybrowser by providing enhancements to these features.
