📅 August 31, 2001 - VPM Internet Services (vpm.com), aprivately held California limited liability company,and one of the largest global ISPs, today announced itis launching its global DataLINK IP Alliance Network.

Called the VPMDataLINK, this service provides VPM witha network of providers that enables VPM to provide toits customers dedicated services such as T1's and T3'salmost anywhere in the world. This adds anotherproduct to the VPMSuite family of products VPM hasbeen rolling out recently.
With the global roaming market poised to reach $7.6billion by 2006, VPM expects that companies will alsowant secure dedicated leased lines to connect remoteoffices around the world to the Internet and want asingle vendor to provide all the local services atremote offices while paying only one vendor of choice.VPM intends to be the vendor of choice.
Set to launch in Q4/2001 VPM already has twointernational Fortune 500 companies signed up thatneed local services in up to nine different countrieswho will become the first two customers of theVPMDataLINK IP Alliance Network. VPM intends to growthat customer list to include other carriers and ISPas well.
