Hostman XP allows Web hosting customers to control and manage numerous aspects of running a Web site from their Windows desktop PC, including creating e-mail accounts, subdomains, mailing lists, 404 error pages and chat rooms. Hostman is compatible with the Windows 98, ME, XP and 2000 platforms. In addition to built-in browser integration, other features include diagnosing connection problems, viewing Web statistics, handling support tickets, requesting live assistance and accessing web mail. "We believe customers will benefit tremendously from using Hostman. Bringing traditional Web services to the windows desktop will mean a whole new level of ease and convenience for our customers," said Napoleon Pham, ImHosted.com Product Manager. ImHosted.com, which serves clients in 78 countries, developed the software in conjunction with Evrsoft, an Australian software development firm. Evrsoft customers include Autodesk, NASA, CNET, BBC, PeopleSoft, Borland and SAP.

Shanghai Telecom, a subsidiary of China Telecom, will market its services under the brand name Unisiti. Unisiti is the first and only joint venture in China with foreign participation to provide IP-based data services to business customers in the Pudong business district of Shanghai.
