📅 December 17, 2002 - Global IT services firm Atos Origin (atosorigin.com) and integration software provider webMethods Inc. (webmethods.com) announced on Tuesday that they have entered into a global alliance designed to formalize the long-standing relationship between the companies.

As one of the world's largest IT services providers, says webMethods, Atos Origin will offer consulting, implementation and support services to its customers surrounding the webMethods integration platform for Web services-based integration.
According to the agreement, the companies will develop solutions for certain industries, including automotive, high-tech, process industry and life sciences, finance and banking, insurance, telecommunications, retail and consumer packaged goods.
"webMethods' software, combined with our recognized expertise in key markets, allows us to provide customers with the tools and skills needed to achieve the best solution for deriving more value from their IT investments," says Tim Weldishofer, knowledge team leader, EAI Group, Atos Origin, North America. "Few providers today have the depth and breadth of experience needed to deliver end-to-end integration. This alliance allows Atos Origin and webMethods to deliver proven software tools for streamlining the integration efforts of the world's leading companies."
