📅 - Web hosting and domain name registration company 1&1 Internet announced on Thursday that it has cut its price for .co.uk domain name registration from £2.89 per year to £1.99 per year, including all registration fees.
The offer, says the company, is valid until January 31, 2003 for a two-year registration period. The offer, says 1&1, will provide businesses and consumers with the cheapest .co.uk domain registration in the UK. The price reduction is one of a series of special offers designed by the company to celebrate its 10th birthday. The company says it currently serves over 2 million British, German and French customer Web sites and manages about 2.9 million domain names, with over 2,500 new customer joining every day. "We are delighted to be able to offer the .co.uk domain for £1.99," says Mark Beyer, marketing director at 1&1 Internet. "This offer is our latest effort to provide the UK with the easiest and most affordable web solutions. Customers will, of course, still receive our free unlimited Express Support."
