The company received the recognition after passing an extensive inspection and review of its network infrastructure, security processes, server management policies and back up and recovery procedures.
"Having a SAS 70 Type II is an absolute requirement," says Rick Smith, CEO of Carpathia Hosting. "We are experiencing tremendous growth from the hosting of sensitive information. If we don't consistently meet these high standards we can not win and maintain the business."
The Statement on Auditing Standards No.70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, allowing service organizations to disclose their control activities and processes to customers and customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format.
