Jun, 2003 : Terremark NAP Reaches 100 Customer Level

📅 June 13, 2003 - Carrier-neutral Tier-1 NAP operator Terremark Worldwide Inc (terremark.com ). said today its NAP of the Americas had exceeded the 100 customer mark.

Terremark presently has 135 customers overall, including 33 customers in its NAP in Brazil.
The company said that over the last two months, it has signed contracts with 12 new customers and over twenty existing clients for additional services. Among the new contracts are agreements with Digitel Networks, Dominion Telecom, Florida Broadband and SAVVIS.
"We are seeing increased interest from both the public and private sectors in the unique combination of services our NAP provides," said Manuel D. Medina, Chairman and CEO of Terremark. "Our customers are leveraging the benefits of operating in our carrier-neutral environment, as they continue to focus on their core-business and outsource their mission-critical needs."
Terremark is the owner and operator of the NAP of the Americas, one of five Tier-1 Network Access Points (NAPs) in the United States.

📅 Feb 9, 2009 - Terremark Delays Building in Santa Clara - Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com ) announced on Monday it has decided to delay the building of a data center in Santa Clara, California, focusing its development budget dollars instead on its data center in Virginia, the NAP of the Capital Region, according to a report by Data Center Knowledge.

The company says it is seeing significant demand for colocation and managed hosting services at the Culpeper, Virginia facility.
