The program gives partners the opportunity to offer Verio's complete application infrastructure hosting platform - PowerPlatform - and its NTT/VERIO value-added services in combination with the NTT/VERIO Global IP Network. According to Verio, the program offers many benefits, including access to a sales staff, infrastructure and service support, market development funds, reseller discounts and lead referrals. The company intends the VBPP to target two channels ? solution providers and IT resellers. ?The Web development market has undergone a heavy consolidation period and only a few larger players have survived, taking the lion's share of the market,? said Martin David, vice-president of Verio Europe. ?Our main goal is to expand our business partner base by signing up three out of the top five Web development agencies in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain - before the end of this year.? The IT resellers Verio intends to target include value-added resellers, systems integrators and independent software vendors. ?These companies receive many requests for Web related projects and are looking to establish long term partnerships with hosting service providers to help them fulfil this demand,? said David. ?This market requires a great deal of education on Web hosting and related services. The VBPP program helps them get a better understanding of the opportunities available and supports new business development for IT resellers in the web hosting market.? Verio, an NTT subsidiary, is a provider of global IP solutions to the enterprise market, including Web hosting, dedicated access, virtual private networks and managed services.
