Winhost hosts three domains of mine and I am very pleased with their services, especially for the price. I want to comment on the negative reviews I've read on this site.
Tech Support: I've had to use Tech Support only 3 or 4 times and the response was quick (within an hour) and the rep was knowledgeable able to address my issue.
Services provided: Anyone who signs up for any kind of service without even reading the clearly stated terms and conditions should blame himself, not the service provider.
Auto renewal: My site has been up since November, 1992 and Winhost is my third hosting company (the other two are large and well known). All have auto-renewed the charge to my credit card each billing period. Providers can't afford to do anything else. Do you really expect a provider charging you $4.95 a month to send you a monthly statement hoping that you'll pay it sometime in the future? Auto-renewing via credit card is neither deceptive nor at all unusual. You need to learn something about how businesses work in the this day and age.
Spam Filtering: I can't comment on this one. I've used SpamArrest for years and am very happy with it so I don't use any of SmarterMail's filtering features.
As a general comment, I think all of the negative reviews are more a fault of the customers and not Winhost.
