ZiD Internet is a long-established Canadian Internet and hosting provider based in Brossard, Quebec, operating as a division of ZYMOS Computer Systems Inc. ZiD's Internet operation dates to 1997, while its domain-registration activity reaches back to 1996. The ZYMOS name has an even longer history, with Canadian trademark activity dating to 1990.

The company combines Shared Hosting, VPS, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, DNS, Email, SSL Certificates, Website Builder and Web Design with broader Internet and telecommunications services. ZiD owns its servers and networking equipment and operates Canadian hosting infrastructure in the Montreal area, giving it considerably more direct control over the underlying environment than a simple reseller-based hosting company.

Shared hosting is available on both Linux and Windows, making ZiD particularly relevant for customers who still require Microsoft technologies alongside conventional PHP/MySQL hosting. The dedicated-server range also reflects an older generation of hardware, including Celeron processors, older dual-core CPUs, DDR3 memory and SATA storage. ZiD can still be suitable for customers requiring dedicated Canadian infrastructure, but anyone ordering a new server should request the current CPU generation, RAM type, storage technology and network-port specification rather than relying on the older standard configurations.

Backup information for dedicated systems contains a discrepancy between daily and weekly schedules, so the exact backup frequency and retention period should also be confirmed when ordering.

Domain registration has been part of ZiD's business for decades. The company is a certified registrar for .CA domains through CIRA and supports numerous generic and international extensions including .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .me, .co, .mobi and .quebec. French-accented domain names are supported for several extensions.
