ZettaHost is a long-running European hosting provider whose history goes back to 2002, when the service was started by a group of students in Europe. The business is operated by Zetta Hosting Solutions Ltd., a Bulgarian company based in Sofia. Its early development is closely connected with AwardSpace, another free-hosting project launched within the same hosting ecosystem in 2003.

ZettaHost has developed into a broad hosting platform covering free hosting, commercial shared hosting, WordPress hosting, semi-dedicated accounts, VPS/cloud servers, reseller hosting, domain registration and SSL certificates. The service remains especially notable for combining permanently free hosting with clear upgrade paths toward larger shared, semi-dedicated and VPS environments.

The Zetta Free plan provides 1 GB storage, 5 GB monthly traffic, one hosted domain, three subdomains and one MySQL database. The Reseller Hosting platform is another substantial part of the service. Resellers can create their own hosting packages, establish retail prices and operate customizable storefronts without maintaining their own server infrastructure. Shared hosting sold through the reseller system uses clustered services where MySQL, PostgreSQL and email functions can operate on separate service nodes.
