Yulpa is a French hosting provider founded in 2017 by Aurélien Poncini and Benoît Georgelin, following around ten years of experience with the Web4all non-profit hosting project. Web4all customers were transferred to Yulpa when the association ended its activities, giving the new company an established technical platform and hosting community from its earliest days. INEONET acquired YULPA in November 2020, while Yulpa now operates as a commercial brand of Alsatis Services (alsatis-services.com). The current legal entity is Alsatis Services, registered under SIREN 451 152 862 and VAT number FR41451152862.

The hosting portfolio extends well beyond conventional shared hosting and includes Shared Hosting, Domain Registration, Zimbra Email, managed/private Zimbra, Spam Filtering, VPS Containers, VMware vCloud, private MySQL/MariaDB instances, yulPa Drive, managed infrastructure and technical consulting. Custom infrastructure projects can also include the installation and operation of customer-owned equipment in Paris.

Shared hosting is available through the One, Start, Zen and Premium packages. Accounts include FTP and SSH access, Apache, PHP, MariaDB/MySQL databases, Zimbra email, DNS administration, automated Let's Encrypt SSL certificates and support for importing third-party SSL certificates. Web traffic is not metered, and the larger packages allow several independent domains to be hosted under the same account rather than relying on a traditional primary-domain structure.

Backup retention is particularly generous for this class of hosting, with file and database backups retained for periods of up to three months. The platform also gives customers relatively deep technical access compared with many entry-level hosting services, especially through SSH and the custom iWal administration environment.

Storage specifications should be checked carefully before ordering because the hosting information currently contains two different capacity sets. The individual package information gives 5 GB, 50 GB, 100 GB and 200 GB for One, Start, Zen and Premium, while the comparison information gives 5 GB, 25 GB, 50 GB and 100 GB. Some compatibility information also remains tied to older software generations, including PHP versions ending at PHP 8.1.

Customers requiring administrator access can move to VPS-Container Linux, built around LXD/LXC virtualization. These virtual servers include root access, a dedicated public IPv4 address, 100 Mbps network connectivity, anti-DDoS filtering and console access. Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS are among the available Linux environments.

Container configurations start with 1 vCore, 2 GB RAM and 15 GB SAS storage and extend to systems with 4 vCores, 16 GB RAM and 250 GB storage. Hourly snapshots are included, with retention configurable for periods reaching six months. Snapshot copies are replicated outside the production environment, adding another layer of protection against infrastructure failures.

For considerably larger deployments, VMware vCloud Director provides dedicated and guaranteed resource pools from which customers can create their own virtual machines and networks. VMware HA provides protection against physical-host failure, while DRS distributes workloads throughout the virtualization cluster. NSX is used for network isolation and firewall functions, and Veeam handles virtual-machine backup and restoration.

Example vCloud configurations range from approximately €75 HT/month to €490 HT/month, while the broader service catalog places Datacenter-as-a-Service from around €200/month. Larger VMware environments are consequently better treated as individually configured infrastructure projects rather than standardized commodity VPS packages.

Email hosting is another significant component of Yulpa's business. Zimbra Email starts around €1.80/month, while Zimbra Pro starts around €3.90/month. Managed private Zimbra combines a €3.90 HT monthly charge per mailbox with an €89 HT monthly private-server component.

The private Zimbra environment includes dedicated resources, private SSL configuration, server-level backup, customization options and priority support. The professional mailbox service provides 50 GB mailboxes, ActiveSync, Outlook integration, anti-spam protection and 30-day mailbox backups.

Separate inbound and outbound spam filtering is based on SpamExperts (spamexperts.com). Filtering appliances operate inside the French hosting infrastructure, keeping mail processing within the same national infrastructure model used by the company's other hosting services. Anti-Spam-as-a-Service begins at approximately €2/month.

yulPa Drive provides synchronized business file storage with 200 GB allocated per user. It supports organizations, access-right management, private and public file sharing, file versioning, daily backup and anti-DDoS protection. Synchronization software is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iPhone and Android. Pricing starts at €5 HT/month per user on annual billing.

Yulpa also provides domain registration and DNS management. Several Yulpa-operated domain extensions can be used without registration fees, while conventional generic and geographic TLDs are available commercially. Domain administration includes DNS-zone management, registrar locking and WHOIS privacy where registry policy permits it.

DNS infrastructure is distributed across three servers using separate networks and locations. This design reduces dependence on a single hosting facility and complements the multi-site architecture used elsewhere in the platform.

A separate MySQL/MariaDB service provides private database instances with configurations ranging from 256 MB to 2 GB of dedicated RAM and pricing from approximately €5 HT/month. These instances include configurable database environments, automated backups and phpMyAdmin. The private SQL packages remain marked coming soon, despite MySQL Private also appearing in the general service catalog, so availability should be confirmed before building a project around them.

Yulpa also delivers managed infrastructure and consulting for organizations requiring more than preconfigured hosting packages. Technical capabilities cover Linux/Unix, VMware, Zimbra, security, cloud architecture, monitoring and infrastructure design. Managed infrastructure starts around €150/month.

Customer-owned servers and network hardware can also be installed and operated inside the Paris infrastructure. Connectivity can use Yulpa's own Internet transit or another carrier selected according to the requirements of the project.

The service is primarily available in French, with products priced in EUR. No multi-language/localized version exists. The interface and some technical documentation retain a more traditional hosting-provider style than newer cloud platforms, but the underlying service catalog is broad and technically oriented.
