The company has been active since 1998 and is one of the pioneers of the Swiss hosting market, today ranking among the "top ten" webhosting providers in Switzerland and operating as a joint-stock company. Their positioning is very clear: Swiss quality, security and full data locality, with servers operated exclusively in their own data centers in Switzerland.

The core focus is classic shared hosting combined with domain registration and e-mail/collaboration services, rather than generic VPS or bare-metal servers. For web hosting, Webland offers six main shared plans under one platform, divided into packages for individuals/small enterprises (Hosting Starter, Basic, Premium) and business-oriented plans (Business Basic, Business Premium, Business Cluster). All run on either Windows Server (IIS) or Linux/UNIX with a unified feature set that includes PHP (5.6/7.x/8.x), ASP.NET, .NET Core, Node.js, WebSockets, cron jobs and support for common CMS such as WordPress, Joomla, Typo3 and DNN. The hosting comparison table shows generous combined storage (37.5–150 GB for the Starter–Premium line, 175–250 GB on business plans), unlimited standard e-mail accounts, up to 100 databases (MySQL, MS SQL, MS Access) and up to 100 manageable domains depending on the plan.

On the e-mail side, Webland offers standalone E-Mail Hosting and E-Mail Hosting Business plans plus the CloudOffice collaboration suite. E-Mail Hosting targets private users and small businesses with 25 mailboxes, 25 GB storage and built-in anti-spam/anti-virus protection, while E-Mail Hosting Business raises this to unlimited mailboxes and 100 GB storage. CloudOffice Personal and CloudOffice Team add groupware features like calendars, tasks, notes, online document editing and, for teams, web meetings, chat and collaboration tools.
