Ultra Web Hosting is a long-established American hosting provider that started in 2002 in the Seattle area under the name Flux Services. The Ultra Web Hosting brand followed in 2005, and the business has remained independently operated rather than becoming part of one of the large hosting conglomerates. The current legal operator is Ultra Services, LLC, headquartered in Tukwila/Seattle, Washington. The company has passed the 10,000-customer/site level and remains centered on its own server hardware, an in-house technical team and cPanel-based hosting.

The product range covers Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Nginx Hosting, AI Coding Hosting, Node.js Hosting, HIPAA Ready Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Managed VPS, Managed Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, SSL Certificates, application hosting, website migration, technical consultation, marketing utilities and webmaster tools. Hosting prices are denominated in U.S. dollars, and the company operates primarily in English.

The regular shared platform has three primary tiers. Ultra 1x is intended for one website and includes 50 GB SSD storage, unmetered bandwidth, unlimited email, a 150,000-inode allowance, cPanel, CloudLinux isolation, Redis, free SSL, a free domain with qualifying longer-term service and Cloudflare CDN integration. Ultra Unlimited adds support for unlimited websites together with WP Toolkit and AccelerateWP, while Ultra Unlimited Pro raises the available CPU allocation to 3x Xeon resources and includes additional security and performance features. The shared stack combines CloudLinux, LiteSpeed/Nginx acceleration, Redis, OPcache, Imunify360 and automated application installation.

WordPress Hosting is more performance-oriented and supports unlimited WordPress websites within a 50 GB SSD allocation. AccelerateWP, Redis object caching, LiteSpeed, WP Toolkit, staging, automatic WordPress maintenance, Nginx/OPcache tuning and free CDN integration are included. This makes it suitable for customers who want managed WordPress conveniences without moving to a more expensive isolated WordPress-cloud environment.

Nginx Hosting targets a single website and combines reverse-proxy caching with HTTP/2, Brotli, CloudLinux, PHP 8.x, Redis, OPcache, SSL and CDN integration. It remains priced close to entry-level shared hosting rather than as a premium server product.

A notable newer service is AI Coding Hosting. Softaculous Code with AI is integrated directly into cPanel and can work with API keys from 11 AI providers, including models from Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Groq and Together AI. Customers pay their selected AI provider directly instead of buying marked-up tokens from Ultra, while OpenCode Zen supplies an initial free tier. Git, SSH, Composer, WP-CLI, current Node.js LTS releases, cron access and the normal PHP hosting environment make this one of the more developer-oriented versions of the shared platform.

Node.js Hosting is also aimed at developers. It supports Node.js 18, 20 and 22 LTS through CloudLinux Node Selector and Phusion Passenger, together with npm, SSH, Git, MariaDB and the normal cPanel environment. Multiple sites are supported, and the plan receives the higher 3x Xeon resource allocation.

The HIPAA Ready Hosting service uses an isolated VPS environment rather than an ordinary shared account. It includes 25 GB SSD storage, a dedicated IP, SSL, cPanel, firewall/IDS protection and audit logging. Ultra does not execute a Business Associate Agreement, so Protected Health Information needs to remain within an appropriate BAA-covered EHR, patient portal or other compliant system. Organizations that require the hosting provider itself to sign a BAA should not treat this product as a substitute for a fully contracted HIPAA hosting platform.

Reseller Hosting combines WHM and cPanel with 50 GB SSD storage and 2 TB monthly traffic. Resellers can create and manage multiple customer accounts, use private nameservers and operate under a white-label arrangement. Billing-system compatibility, Softaculous, CloudLinux and Nginx are included, making the plan suitable for small agencies and independent hosting resellers rather than high-volume infrastructure providers.

For customers requiring isolation and root access, Ultra has both Managed VPS and Managed Dedicated Hosting. The smaller managed VPS includes one CPU core, 2 GB RAM and 100 GB storage, while the Ultra-Value Managed VPS uses 2 vCPU at 3.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD. KVM virtualization, cPanel/WHM, root access, management and migration assistance are included. The dedicated tier uses Dell PowerEdge hardware, dual 2.5 GHz eight-core Xeon processors, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB hardware RAID 1 storage, again with cPanel/WHM and full management.

Domain registration covers more than 40 extensions with DNS management and registrar locking. Free Let's Encrypt AutoSSL is standard on hosted domains, while premium DV, OV and EV certificates remain available for customers requiring commercial certificates. Application hosting extends the platform to WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, WooCommerce, Moodle, phpBB, SMF, CubeCart, osCommerce, Ghost, Discourse and hundreds of applications installable through Softaculous.

Ultra also maintains an active technical blog, with new material continuing through 2026 rather than leaving customers with an abandoned legacy news section.
