*📜 Plan description

CS1S-312 is a single-VM TransparentCloud CloudServer with guaranteed resources at $40 per month. It includes 2 GB RAM, 2 CPU cores, 20 GB SSD storage, 2 TB of monthly traffic and one included IPv4 address. The CPU allocation is rated at 156 PassMark per core and 312 total PassMark, and the account supports up to 2 VMs. The base CloudBackup allocation includes one backup and 20 GB of backup storage. The standard network port is 100 Mb/s and can be upgraded to 250, 500, 750 or 1,000 Mb/s. The plan has no setup fee and the fixed monthly price shown here is the standard one-month rate. For storage, the standard configuration includes 20 GB SSD; the same account can alternatively use an 80 GB SATA selection at no additional monthly disk charge, and extra SATA capacity can be added. Its resource level is the second TransparentCloud single-VM size and provides twice the CPU, RAM and included monthly traffic of CS1S-156.

Superb TransparentCloud uses guaranteed resource allocations with zero overselling, so the assigned RAM, CPU capacity, disk space and PassMark performance are reserved for the account rather than being sold as best-effort shared resources. VMs can be built, copied, duplicated and destroyed in real time through the integrated cloud control panel, while the architecture is designed for automatic failover and scalable resource pools. The first-generation CS1/DC1 platform supports SSD storage and can also use lower-cost SATA capacity in selected configurations. Cloud accounts can be deployed in SEA2 in Seattle, Washington or DCA2 in McLean, Virginia at no added monthly location charge. The included port speed is 100 Mb/s; 250 Mb/s costs $5 per month, 500 Mb/s $10, 750 Mb/s $15 and 1,000 Mb/s $20. Additional monthly traffic can be added in 1,000 GB increments for $45 or 10,000 GB for $195. Linux and Unix templates include AlmaLinux, CentOS, Debian, FreeBSD, RHEL and Ubuntu at no extra monthly template charge, while Windows Server 2016 Standard and Windows Server 2019 Standard are available for an additional $115.50 per month. Optional Plesk and cPanel licenses can be added when a conventional hosting control panel is needed, while the base cloud service remains manageable through Superb's own cloud interface. One CloudBackup backup is included with backup storage matching the base cloud disk allocation, and larger backup-storage pools plus extra retained backups are optional. The service supports monthly, quarterly, six-month and yearly billing cycles; partial billing periods are prorated daily and hourly figures are reference approximations. Cloud service is backed by a 100% uptime SLA, a 30-day money-back guarantee and 24x7x365 technical support. The broader platform also uses high-speed internal networking and distributed DNS features intended to maintain service continuity and reduce the impact of localized failures.

📄 Editorial Review

Superb Internet is one of the long-established names in the U.S. hosting market, founded in 1996 by Haralds Jass. Its history covers conventional web hosting, dedicated infrastructure, virtualization, cloud computing and colocation. Superb launched commercial VPS services in the late 1990s, giving the company an unusually long background in server virtualization compared with providers that entered the cloud market much later.

On May 20, 2019, Superb became part of CherryRoad Technologies (cherryroad.com). Hosting operations continue under the Superb brand, while current contractual documentation can involve Superb Internet Technologies Inc. and/or CherryRoad Technologies Inc.

The present service portfolio includes Linux Shared Hosting, Windows Shared Hosting, Dedicated Servers, Flex Cloud, ThunderCloud, Managed Hosting, Colocation, Domain Registration and several infrastructure add-ons. Managed backup, firewall administration, operating-system hardening, patching, proactive monitoring, email functionality and domain-management services complement the core hosting products.

The GRIDIRON shared-hosting platform remains available for both Linux and Windows customers. Linux Grid-Lite includes 20 GB of storage, unlimited traffic, 1,000 email accounts, more than 30 one-click applications, a free domain for two years and SSL. Grid-Pro increases storage to 200 GB, while Grid-Max adds a dedicated IP address and larger resource allocations.

Windows hosting remains an important distinction because relatively few mainstream hosts continue to maintain Windows shared plans. Windows Universal includes 50 GB of web space and 750 GB of traffic, while Infinity increases storage and supports additional websites. Common applications across the hosting environment include WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Moodle and MediaWiki.

Dedicated hosting continues as one of Superb's main infrastructure products. Customers can use standard dedicated configurations or add the 5-in-1 Managed Services package. The managed package combines R1Soft backup, managed firewall protection, operating-system hardening, patching and updates, and proactive service monitoring. Monthly vulnerability scanning and initial setup assistance are also included with relevant managed configurations.

Cloud hosting is divided between Flex Cloud and ThunderCloud. Flex Cloud follows a resource-based model with hourly billing, allowing virtual machines to be resized according to CPU, memory and storage requirements. CPU, RAM and storage allocations are guaranteed rather than oversold, while a dedicated cloud control interface handles VM deployment and administration.

ThunderCloud provides dedicated resource pools intended for larger or more predictable virtualized workloads. Customers can divide these resources among multiple virtual machines while retaining dedicated CPU, RAM and storage capacity. SSD storage, multiple IP addresses and configurations reaching dozens of processor cores and hundreds of gigabytes of RAM make ThunderCloud more appropriate for substantial virtualized environments.

Colocation services range from individual 1U and 2U systems through complete racks and custom cages. Customers can supply their own servers while purchasing power, network capacity, IP addresses, backup, redundant connectivity and managed services from Superb.

Domain registration has also remained part of the portfolio for many years. Transfers, renewals, bulk registration, domain privacy, forwarding, parking and domain-management tools are available alongside the hosting services.

The website retains a noticeably older design and information architecture. Some technical sections still contain references to legacy products such as CentOS 3/4/5, older FreeBSD releases, Windows Server 2003/2008, earlier Cisco firewalls and discontinued control-panel products. The principal hosting catalog, legal documentation and infrastructure services remain active, but customers ordering dedicated hardware or software licenses should confirm the exact current operating systems, control panels and server models available. Prices are quoted in USD.

Based on WHTop product and pricing monitoring, most Superb.net products appear to have remained virtually unchanged in both features and pricing since December 2020. In a market where hosting technologies, hardware configurations, resource allocations, and commercial models evolve continuously, such a long period of minimal change is a significant negative signal.

This level of product inactivity suggests more than simple stability; it points toward limited innovation, slow service modernization, and a broader pattern of business stagnation. For prospective customers, the lack of visible evolution may raise concerns about how actively Superb.net is investing in its hosting platform and adapting to current market standards.
