Speedbone is a Berlin-based data-center, connectivity, and cloud-infrastructure provider with roots going back to 1997, when the business began as a sole proprietorship. Speedbone GmbH was established in 2002, and the current legal entity is Speedbone Internet & Connectivity GmbH. Ulrich Eckardt is associated with the founding of the business and serves as managing director. The company operates from Berlin, Germany.

Speedbone is primarily an infrastructure provider rather than a conventional mass-market web host. Its core business covers Colocation, Server Housing, rack rental, private cages, connectivity, peering, cross-connects, Remote Hands, and cloud infrastructure. Business Fiber connectivity is also available for companies requiring high-speed Internet access, VPN connectivity between locations, or direct connections to hosted infrastructure.

Cloud services include Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Multi-Cloud, Cloud Backup, and remote-work cloud environments. Private Cloud deployments combine multiple systems into virtualized clusters capable of running servers, firewalls, load balancers, and business applications. Speedbone also provides Remote Hands, allowing technicians to receive shipments, unpack and install equipment, connect servers and network hardware, perform configuration tasks, and make systems remotely accessible. This is particularly practical for companies running infrastructure in Berlin without maintaining local technical staff.

Traditional shared-hosting, VPS, and standardized dedicated-server packages are not the main focus. Domain hosting and email-related requests are handled separately through Prosite support, while Speedbone concentrates on data-center and business infrastructure services.
