📄 Editorial Review
Server Room is a privately held American and Romanian infrastructure provider operating since 2004. The business is connected to Data Room, Inc. in New York and Data Room SRL in Romania, with operational offices in Long Island City and Bucharest. Over more than two decades, the company has expanded from audio and video streaming into dedicated servers, GPU systems, high-bandwidth infrastructure, media delivery and managed hosting services. The company has handled more than 10,500 customers, over 12,600 server deployments and approximately 140,200 hours of technical support. Its team remains relatively compact, with LinkedIn placing the company in the 11–50 employee range. Stefan Botez has been associated with Server Room since October 2004 and serves as president of Data Room, Inc., making him one of the central figures behind the business.
The main product line is Dedicated Server Hosting, covering inexpensive entry-level machines, modern AMD Ryzen and Intel Xeon platforms, enterprise HPE systems, high-memory servers and custom-built configurations. Customers can choose preconfigured instant servers or request hardware assembled around specific processor, memory, storage, GPU, RAID, operating-system and bandwidth requirements.
Instant dedicated servers can normally be deployed within several minutes. Standard custom configurations are generally provisioned within four to 24 hours, while hardware that must be specially ordered can require one to three weeks. Root access is included with Linux systems, while Windows customers receive administrator access.
The cheapest dedicated servers use low-power AMD or Intel processors and are better suited to testing, lightweight websites, small radio relays, backup services, development environments, VPN applications or secondary infrastructure. More powerful configurations include modern Ryzen processors, Intel Xeon CPUs, dual-processor systems, SSD or NVMe storage, hardware RAID and memory capacities reaching approximately 2 TB.
Enterprise Dedicated Servers use HPE hardware, hardware RAID and remote server-management technology. These systems are appropriate for production websites, private virtualization environments, databases, business applications, containers, private clouds and other workloads requiring stronger hardware reliability than the entry-level server range.
Dedicated Web Hosting combines physical-server isolation with cPanel/WHM or Plesk. This creates a familiar environment for managing websites, email, databases, DNS zones and customer accounts without sharing the underlying hardware with unrelated users. Available Linux systems include AlmaLinux, Debian and Ubuntu, while Windows Server configurations are also available.
Server Room is not primarily a conventional shared-hosting provider. The web-hosting service is based mainly on dedicated hardware with an optional hosting control panel, making it better suited to agencies, resellers, developers and businesses that require a complete server rather than a single shared account.
Weekly Dedicated Servers can be rented for seven days. This option is practical for migrations, temporary processing, software testing, short development projects, data transfers, scheduled events and other situations where a full monthly contract is unnecessary.
The GPU Server range covers artificial intelligence, machine learning, model training, LLM inference, video transcoding, rendering, scientific applications, computer vision, virtual desktops and cryptocurrency-related processing. Available hardware includes NVIDIA RTX GPUs, NVIDIA A100 and H100 accelerators, AMD Instinct MI200 and MI300 cards and AMD Ryzen AI systems.
The GPU portfolio supports software environments such as CUDA, ROCm, TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenCL. Additional configurations are available for RTX 30, RTX 50 and RTX 60 series hardware, LLM processing, OpenClaw deployments, rendering, transcoding and specialized compute applications. Delivery time depends heavily on hardware availability, especially for high-end enterprise accelerators.
The GPU Marketplace allows third-party hardware owners to make unused GPU resources available to other customers. Marketplace instances use hourly billing, hardware verification, monitoring and workload isolation. This makes the platform useful for shorter compute jobs that do not justify a full monthly dedicated-GPU commitment.
High-traffic customers can order Unmetered Dedicated Servers with dedicated ports ranging from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps. These servers are designed for media delivery, CDN origin infrastructure, backups, continuous replication, software distribution, streaming, large downloads and other bandwidth-intensive applications.
The unmetered range includes 10 Gbps, 20 Gbps and 100 Gbps options. Traffic is billed through a fixed monthly port commitment rather than by transferred terabyte, reducing the possibility of unexpected overage charges. Managed 10 Gbps configurations can also include operating-system setup, patching, monitoring and backup planning.
Server Room continues to maintain a strong streaming portfolio. Internet Radio Hosting includes encrypted audio delivery, unlimited broadcasting hours, browser-based players, listener statistics, MP3 and AAC compatibility, scheduled programming and cloud Auto DJ functionality on eligible plans. Streaming capacity is available in the United States and Europe.
SHOUTcast Hosting includes both free and commercial options. Customers can broadcast through software or hardware encoders, alternate between live and automated programming and distribute audio to desktop and mobile listeners. A hosted radio page is included, allowing a station to operate without building a separate website.
Live Video Streaming supports browser, mobile and connected-device playback, SSL delivery, hardware and software encoders and continuous broadcasting. Smaller projects can use the free service, while commercial broadcasters can order distributed capacity, higher audience limits and custom infrastructure.
The Video CDN service is built for broadcasters, media platforms and high-volume video publishers. It provides managed content delivery across North America and Europe, with commercial pricing based on data transfer and custom agreements available for very large audiences.
Event Streaming is suitable for conferences, corporate events, webinars, religious broadcasts, presentations and one-time productions. Multi-region delivery, failover capacity and technical assistance can be included for events that require better resilience.
Video on Demand combines video storage, playback, statistics, transcoding and a customizable player. The free level includes limited storage and traffic, while commercial accounts use bandwidth-based pricing. Enterprise services can include white-label branding, advertising integration, priority support and larger transfer commitments.
The website has a modern responsive layout and supports English, Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Polish, Greek, Turkish and Chinese. Product pricing is primarily displayed in U.S. dollars.
