📄 Editorial Review

ServerCheap is an American infrastructure provider focused on KVM VPS hosting and dedicated servers. The company was founded in 2019, while its experience in the hosting industry dates back to 2013. Founder and CEO Adnan Faridi has a software-engineering background spanning more than two decades and is associated with several related hosting operations.

ServerCheap operates within the same network environment as HostRush and ServerDime (serverdime.com). These brands use AS62633, registered by ARIN under the name SERVERDIME-SERVERCHEAP-HOSTRUSH. ServerCheap remains a relatively small, founder-operated provider rather than a division of a large multinational hosting group.

The service catalog is deliberately concentrated on server infrastructure. Conventional shared hosting, reseller hosting, managed WordPress, bundled email hosting, website-builder packages and a full domain-registration storefront are not part of the main offer. The principal services are NVMe KVM VPS plans, legacy KVM VPS plans and dedicated servers.

The current VPS platform uses KVM full virtualization, providing each virtual machine with its own kernel and stronger workload isolation than container-based virtualization. Every configuration includes NVMe storage, root access, one IPv4 address, a /64 IPv6 allocation and 10 Gbps DDoS protection. All virtual servers are deployed in Dallas, Texas.

The newer SolusVM 2 range starts with 4 GB RAM, two virtual CPU cores and 40 GB NVMe storage. Larger configurations provide 10 GB, 14 GB, 24 GB, 40 GB or 56 GB RAM, with as many as ten virtual CPU cores and 300 GB NVMe storage. Monthly traffic allowances vary by package and extend to 10 TB on larger plans.

The VPS environment supports operating-system reinstallations, browser-based terminal access, NoVNC, resource graphs, snapshots and custom ISO installations on qualifying packages. The smallest package has more restrictive snapshot and ISO conditions than the larger configurations. Customers should therefore verify the final checkout specifications when these functions are essential.

The legacy VPS category remains available through SolusVM 1. These plans begin with 1 GB RAM and 20 GB NVMe storage, followed by configurations with 6 GB, 10 GB, 20 GB and 34 GB RAM. The newer platform provides more current management functions, larger resource allocations and improved snapshot support, making it the more practical choice for most new deployments.

ServerCheap VPS accounts are self-managed. The company maintains the physical infrastructure, network, hypervisors and virtualization platform, while customers remain responsible for operating-system maintenance, security updates, firewall rules, software installation, application monitoring and data protection. The service is consequently more appropriate for developers, system administrators and technically experienced users than for beginners seeking a fully managed hosting environment.

The dedicated-server catalog uses Dell and Supermicro enterprise hardware. Most available systems are based on dual Intel Xeon E5 or E5 v2 processors, accompanied by 64 GB to 256 GB ECC RAM and approximately 500 GB to 4 TB of SSD storage. These processors belong to older enterprise generations, although the combination of dual physical CPUs, substantial memory capacity and inexpensive monthly pricing remains useful for virtualization, databases, development environments, game servers, private applications and storage-intensive workloads.

Dedicated servers generally include a /29 IPv4 allocation with five usable addresses, a /64 IPv6 allocation, a 1 Gbps network port, approximately 50 TB of monthly traffic and 10 Gbps DDoS protection. Many configurations also include dual network interfaces, a dedicated VLAN and IPMI, iDRAC or attached KVM access. Initial Linux installation or remote ISO attachment is included, and setup fees are not normally charged.

Provisioning is handled manually and usually requires between 12 and 18 hours. An automated dedicated-server deployment system is planned for approximately mid-August 2026. Until that platform becomes active, customers should continue to expect manual preparation and delivery.

ServerCheap owns its servers, networking equipment, IP resources and virtualization infrastructure. The equipment is colocated in a Dallas facility, with direct physical access available for server installation, maintenance, component replacement and network administration.

Cryptocurrency mining is prohibited on VPS accounts. Mining on dedicated servers is also restricted, particularly on machines priced below $70 per month and on discounted or promotional systems. Bulk or mass mailing requires prior authorization and should not begin without written approval.

The main website is available in English and uses a responsive layout suitable for current desktop and mobile devices. The client area supports Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian. All products continue to be priced and billed in US dollars regardless of the selected interface language.
