Sasahost was one of the better-known Kenyan hosting brands for many years. The business dated back to 2007 and was formally incorporated in Kenya in 2009, building a solid name in the local market around web hosting, domain registration, SSL, and general online business services. It operated mainly from Nairobi, Kenya, served a broad customer base that grew into the tens of thousands, and focused largely on the Kenyan and East African market with an English-language storefront and pricing in KES / KSh.

As an independent hosting company, that phase is over. Sasahost was acquired by HOSTAFRICA, with the transaction taking effect on 1 December 2023, and the brand no longer continued as a standalone hosting provider in the same way. What remained behind was the reputation of a mature local host that had managed to combine domain services, shared hosting, VPS, dedicated solutions, SSL, web security, and development-related services under one roof.

During its active years, Sasahost had a broader offer than many small hosting brands. The company covered domain registration, shared hosting, reseller hosting, managed cPanel VPS, dedicated servers, SSL certificates, server management, and some web and mobile development work. That made it suitable for customers who wanted one provider for most of their web presence rather than splitting domains, hosting, and security between several companies. The brand was especially appealing to small businesses, agencies, and professional users that wanted a local provider with a more serious business profile than the cheapest entry-level hosts.
