📄 Editorial Review

Peterlink is one of the long-established names in the Saint Petersburg Internet market, with a history dating back to April 4, 1994. The business originated from the telecommunications activities of the Novintech-Inforpro holding and became an early commercial Internet provider in Saint Petersburg. Web hosting was added during the first years of its development, while the broader Peterlink business structure later included telecommunications and Internet-related companies such as Peterlink, RCom and Peterlink Web.

The present business operates as AO Peterlink from Saint Petersburg. Compared with the company's much larger historical role in the development of commercial Internet access in the city, today's operation is relatively small, but it retains a recognizable Peterlink network and hosting presence.

Its hosting range follows the traditional shared or virtual hosting model rather than today's cloud-server approach. The main plans include Personal, Universal, Base and Corporate, with features such as DNS hosting, FTP access, traffic statistics, daily backups and support for multiple domains. Traffic is unmetered, and traditional CGI utilities including counters, guestbooks and form-processing scripts have also been available.

The resource allocations reflect Peterlink's legacy hosting background. Storage begins at 100 MB and increases through 500 MB and 1 GB to 3 GB on the Corporate package. These configurations are intended mainly for lightweight websites and older web applications rather than resource-intensive WordPress installations, online stores or modern application workloads.

Peterlink primarily serves the Russian market. The website and customer environment are predominantly Russian-language, and services are priced in Russian rubles (RUB). No multi-language/localized version exists for international customers. The website design is also clearly from an earlier generation, with a compact layout and considerably less automation than contemporary hosting stores.
