OrangeWebsite is an Iceland-centered offshore hosting company for customers who place privacy, freedom of expression, renewable energy, and a clearly defined jurisdiction ahead of a worldwide server map. Its roots reach back to 2006, when two Scandinavian internet entrepreneurs began building websites and providing online marketing for local businesses. Difficulty finding dependable hosting led them to lease their own server, study server security, and develop hosting tools. The OrangeWebsite brand was founded in 2009 in Reykjavík, Iceland and now serves customers in more than 100 countries.

The company history does not name both founders. Henri K. Johannes is the long-standing CEO and the author of its CEO blog; historical trademark and domain records connect the fuller name Henri Kalle Johannes Vilmi to OrangeWebsite. The website footer and data-processing agreement identify IceNetworks Ltd. as the parent or processor. IceNetworks Hong Kong Limited also appears in a 2018 Hong Kong incorporation record, but the current legal pages do not explain the relationship between those entities well enough to merge their identities. An external business database estimates 1–25 employees, while OrangeWebsite gives no official headcount. The small, remote-working team and Icelandic infrastructure remain central to the operating model.

Shared Hosting is the simplest entry point. Bronze provides 1 GB web space and 100 GB monthly traffic; Silver raises this to 3 GB and 300 GB with two addon domains; Gold includes 6 GB, 600 GB, and four addon domains; Platinum reaches 20 GB, 2 TB, and ten addon domains. These are finite allocations rather than misleading "unlimited" storage or traffic. Every tier includes cPanel, Advanced DDoS Protection, SpamExperts mail filtering, JetBackup, Softaculous, and SitePad. Bronze has three mailboxes, Silver five, and the two larger plans allow unlimited email accounts within the overall resource limits.

Shared servers receive backup copies every second day. Multiple copies are kept on a separate storage server, but retrieval may carry a charge and the terms make customers responsible for maintaining their own recoverable data. That qualification matters: JetBackup access and provider-side copies improve convenience, yet they should not replace an independent backup for a business-critical site.

WordPress Hosting adds a larger CPU, memory, and I/O allowance to the same managed environment. Emerald includes 30 GB storage and 500 GB traffic for one site; Ruby offers 40 GB, 1 TB, and one addon domain; Sapphire provides 50 GB, 2 TB, and two addon domains. The stack combines Redis, cPanel, JetBackup, Advanced DDoS Protection, SpamExperts, Softaculous, and SitePad. OrangeWebsite rates this platform at roughly three times the performance of its standard shared service. It fills a sensible gap for WordPress or WooCommerce owners who need more headroom but do not want to secure and maintain a virtual server.

Cloud VPS uses KVM virtualization and is self-managed. Six levels start with two CPU cores, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB disk, 200 GB traffic, and one IPv4 address, then scale to five cores, 6 GB RAM, 120 GB disk, and 1.2 TB traffic. Root access is standard. Linux operating systems are available, while Windows Server 2008 or newer can be installed when the customer supplies a valid license. cPanel is optional and separately licensed.

Virtual-server buyers need to plan administration, security, monitoring, and recovery themselves. VPS backups are absent unless the backup option is ordered. The terms refer to daily, weekly, and monthly VPS copies but also indicate that a new copy replaces the existing one, so retention depth should be confirmed for the selected service. Non-authenticated SMTP on port 25 starts blocked. A removal request requires a valid purpose plus at least one qualifying condition, such as an account older than three months, quarterly or longer billing, a Level 3 or higher VPS, or an eligible license.

Dedicated Servers cover four standard Intel Xeon configurations. The entry machine has a quad-core E3, 8 GB RAM, a 1 TB HDD, 10 TB monthly transfer, and one IPv4 address. The second moves to 16 GB RAM and a 240 GB SSD; the third combines a 480 GB SSD with a 1 TB HDD and 20 TB transfer. The largest configuration uses two Xeon E5 processors, 64 GB RDIMM, a 1 TB SSD plus 1 TB HDD, and 25 TB transfer. Setup and Linux installation are free, while Windows and commercial control-panel licenses add cost.

Dedicated service is also self-managed. SSH credentials are supplied, KVM can be purchased, and the provider does not enter a server without permission. No automatic backup is included. Buyers can add a second disk or external backup space, but they must configure the copy process and test restoration. This is conventional infrastructure for an experienced administrator, not managed dedicated hosting.

Colocation is available only as substantial full-rack packages. The 7 kW rack includes 4 kW power; the 14 kW rack includes 8 kW. Both have a 1 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet handoff, three IP addresses, 2 TB monthly traffic, and one hour of remote hands each month. An Advanced Website Migration option separately covers manual transfer of up to three websites within a reasonable workload.

Domain Registration includes parking, DNS management, contact updates, and several forwarding tools. The usual extensions, including .com, .net, and .org, go through Internet.bs in the Bahamas. Icelandic .is registrations go through ISNIC. This arrangement can reduce the data kept directly by OrangeWebsite, but it does not override registry rules. Some country-code domains require normal registrant details, and the upstream registrar or registry can suspend, delete, restore, or auction expired names according to its own policy.

The additional security catalog includes SSL Certificates and DDoS Protection. RapidSSL and Sectigo choices span fast domain validation, business validation, wildcard coverage, and extended validation. Issuance can take about five minutes for a DV certificate and up to seven days for EV. DDoS filtering combines cloud capacity and dedicated hardware against volumetric, protocol, and application-layer attacks, with mitigation capacity up to 250 Gbps. An unprotected address can be null-routed during an attack. Adding protection only after an attack begins may cost €199.90 on top of the recurring service.

The main marketing site is modern, responsive, and English-only. The order and client portal has more than two dozen language selections, including Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and two Portuguese variants. Price displays support EUR, USD, GBP, CAD, AUD, and SGD. Account creation can begin with only a valid email address, but anonymity is not absolute: fraud screening, support, domain registration, legal duties, and some payment processors can require names, addresses, phone details, transaction data, or KYC.
