NodoHost is an Ecuadorian web-hosting and online-services provider operating as a division of VITEC (vitec.ec). The company is based in Quito and mainly serves entrepreneurs, small businesses, professional offices and local organizations that prefer technical assistance in Spanish.

VITEC’s registered business activity began on April 24, 2000, under Víctor Fernando Ruiz Procel. Its broader technology operation covers business IT services, technical support, servers and infrastructure, while NodoHost concentrates on web hosting, domain registration, professional email, SSL certificates and website development.

The current service range includes Linux shared hosting, semi-dedicated hosting, Windows VPS, domain registration and transfers, professional email, SSL certificates, a website builder, standard website development and online-store development. Dedicated servers and colocation are not part of the current catalog. Reseller hosting remains mentioned in the hosting contract, although there is no active reseller package in the ordering system.

The main hosting product is called semi-dedicated hosting. It is still a shared-hosting environment rather than an isolated virtual server or physical dedicated server. Fewer accounts are placed on each server, providing more predictable access to shared resources. This arrangement can work well for small business websites, WordPress installations, corporate email and modest online stores, but it does not provide the dedicated CPU, RAM and storage resources associated with a VPS.

Five Linux hosting packages are offered. The Basic plan includes 400 MB of disk space, 10 email accounts, 10 GB of bandwidth, one MySQL database, two subdomains and one parked domain. It uses hybrid storage and costs $30 for two years, equivalent to $1.25 per month.

Basic Plus increases the storage allocation to 1 GB while retaining 10 email accounts, 10 GB of bandwidth and one database. It costs $30 annually, equivalent to $2.50 per month, and also uses hybrid storage.

Advanced includes 3 GB of SSD storage, 50 email accounts, 50 GB of bandwidth, three MySQL databases, five subdomains, three parked domains and two domain aliases. It costs $75.60 annually, equivalent to $6.30 per month.

Business provides 7 GB of SSD storage, 100 email accounts, 100 GB of bandwidth, 10 MySQL databases, 10 subdomains, five parked domains and three aliases. Its annual price is $115.20, equivalent to $9.60 per month.

Gold offers 12 GB of SSD storage, unrestricted email-account creation, 200 GB of bandwidth, 20 MySQL databases, unrestricted subdomains, 10 parked domains and five aliases. It costs $225.60 annually, equivalent to $18.80 per month.

The storage allowances are modest compared with many contemporary shared-hosting packages. The Basic plan’s 400 MB capacity is suitable only for a very small website with limited email usage. Even the 3 GB Advanced package may require regular mailbox and file management when several users share the account. The allocations are clearly defined, however, without relying on unrealistic unlimited-storage claims.

All shared-hosting packages use Linux and include cPanel. WordPress, Joomla and other common content-management systems can be installed, while customers can manage files, databases, email accounts, domains, subdomains, backups and other hosting functions without direct server-administration experience.

Hosting accounts are limited to 400 outgoing messages per hour. Processing, memory, database and disk-access restrictions also apply to maintain stability across the shared environment. Customers remain responsible for keeping independent backups. Server-level backup copies are maintained, but complete restoration is not guaranteed. Restoration following customer-caused data loss can cost $50.

The company also offers one Windows VPS configuration for $60 per month. It includes two processor cores, 4 GB of RAM, 60 GB of disk space and 4,000 GB of traffic. The configuration does not specify the virtualization platform, Windows Server edition, number of IP addresses, backup arrangements or management level. These details should be confirmed before the service is activated.

Domain services cover common extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .club, .blog, .cloud and .app, together with Ecuadorian extensions including .ec, .com.ec, .net.ec, .edu.ec and .gob.ec. The service can process a much broader range of extensions, although the ordering system concentrates on a smaller selection with active pricing.

Domain transfers are supported, and eligible transfers normally extend the registration period by one year. Customers can configure automatic or manual renewal. After expiration, a domain may be parked, subjected to a recovery fee or eventually returned to general availability according to the registry rules for its extension.

Professional email is based on OX App Suite. The service includes custom-domain addresses, webmail, IMAP access, desktop and mobile compatibility, anti-spam and antivirus filtering, shared calendars, contacts, tasks, CalDAV, CardDAV and a self-service mailbox migration tool.

The standard OX package supplies a 10 GB mailbox for $24 per user annually. The Productivity package costs $36.49 per user annually and includes a 25 GB mailbox, 25 GB of cloud storage and browser-based tools for editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations. One introductory section refers to 50 GB mailboxes, while the detailed comparison assigns 25 GB to the Productivity package. Customers should therefore confirm the final mailbox allocation in the order before payment.

OX App Suite can be used in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.

SSL certificates include domain-validation, organization-validation, extended-validation and wildcard options. RapidSSL starts at $25 per year, GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium at $130.67 per year and RapidSSL Wildcard at $220 per year. Multi-year billing is possible, although certificates still need to be reissued periodically to comply with current certificate-validity requirements.

A Weebly-based website builder is also available for customers who prefer a visual drag-and-drop editor. It supports customizable templates, pages, blogs, contact forms, photographs, video and basic e-commerce functions. More advanced media and online-store features depend on the selected builder package.

Customers purchasing a domain together with an Advanced, Business or Gold hosting package may qualify for a basic three-section website containing Home, About and Contact pages. The customer supplies the text and photographs, and the website is normally completed within seven days.

Custom website development begins at $250 for a standard five-page website. Online-store development starts at $420 and includes WordPress customization, two hours of administration training, three initial categories and the upload of 10 products. Customers must provide complete product descriptions, photographs and other required content.

The main website operates in Spanish and is primarily intended for Ecuadorian customers. The ordering and customer-management portal provides a much wider language selection, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish and Swedish. Prices are displayed in US dollars.

The website remains functional, although its visual presentation and some technical explanations are dated. Several product specifications also require careful attention. The included-domain conditions are inconsistent: the main hosting information limits the free domain to the first year from the Advanced package upward, while another order-page heading refers to selected domains as free for life. The first-year interpretation is the safer assumption unless permanent inclusion is confirmed in writing.
